Chapter 693 - "Chapter 692: The Happiest Day in Seras's Life."

During dinner, a cozy silence reigned in the kitchen, broken only by the sounds of cutlery and Alex's quiet muttering as he replied to messages. Besides Dean, Jessie had also written to him with the same question — when he would return. Replying to Jessie, Alex informed her that he had a flight tomorrow night and would already be in New York in the morning.

Without asking what had happened in America during the Millennium's invasion of London, he decided it would be better to learn everything after his arrival. After finishing his replies, Alex put his phone aside and continued eating. Spearing some salad with his fork, he looked at Seras and thought that he needed to invite her on a night date to give her one important item.

Seras, feeling Alex's gaze on her, lifted her head with her cheeks stuffed with food, looking like a hamster. She tilted her head to the side, not understanding why Alex was staring at her so intently.

Feeling embarrassed by such a look, Seras quickly swallowed her food and lowered her eyes, thinking that Alex was laughing at her for eating so messily. But she couldn't deny that the food Alex cooked was very delicious, and it was hard for her to restrain herself.

Seeing Seras's embarrassment, Alex just chuckled lightly and continued eating. The first thing he wanted to do after dinner was visit Alucard, and only after that invite Seras on a date. Making plans for the night, Alex calmly finished his dinner and got up from the table. Putting the kettle on to brew tea, he leaned against the kitchen counter, holding his phone in his hands.

While the kettle was boiling, the girls had by then finished dinner and pushed their plates away. Doll stood up from her seat, neatly stacked the plates, and placed them in the sink. Watching what Doll did, Alex smiled slightly and snapped his fingers, instantly washing all the dirty dishes and putting them away in their places.

When the kettle signaled that the water had boiled, Alex, humming a light melody, began brewing the tea. What really surprised Alex was that Integra decided to stay in the kitchen instead of returning to her office to continue working. After finishing brewing the tea, Alex returned to the table.

"Ugh… I really don't want to work," Alex groaned, taking a sip of hot tea.

"Really? Then don't work," Integra said calmly, setting her teacup on the table.

"I can't. I get paid for it," Alex said, rolling his eyes.

"Then stop acting like a child and do the job your father assigned you. If you want to complain about your work, at least make it convincing," Integra said, resting her cheek on her hand and looking at Alex with a blank gaze.

In response to Integra's words, Alex demonstratively rolled his eyes, showing that he had every right to complain about his job. Integra continued to look at her husband with a blank gaze, demonstrating that she still didn't believe he was tired of his work.

Maria, who had been watching this exchange of glances between Alex and Integra, leaned closer to Seras and asked what was going on. Holding back a smile, Seras leaned toward Maria and began explaining that Alex always just complained about work but still continued to do it. Hearing this answer, Maria blinked slightly and shifted her gaze to Alex. She remembered how he had mentioned payment for saving her world when they were in the Hunter's Dream.

"And what is this payment he talks about? What do they pay him for what he does?" Maria asked with interest, shifting her gaze back to Seras.

"It's always weapons. He's literally obsessed with weapons. He's already saved several worlds, and for each he received powerful weapons," Seras whispered, carefully pointing her finger at Alex.

"So the mountain of Hunters' weapons I saw…" Maria said quietly, shifting her gaze from Alex back to Seras.

"Yeah. Most likely, he took all that weapons as payment," Seras said, nodding with a cheerful smile on her face.

"Seras, you do realize we can hear you. Even if you whisper, it won't help you much," Alex's voice came from the other side of the table.

Hearing Alex's voice, Seras looked at him and noticed that everyone at the table was looking in their direction. Coughing awkwardly into her fist, Seras looked away, pretending she hadn't said anything. Maria, however, looked at Alex with a questioning gaze, wondering if what Seras said was true.

In response to Maria's look, Alex simply winked, not denying it. Seeing Alex's confirmation, Maria smiled slightly and shook her head. She saw no reason to comment on Alex's strange hobbies. She already knew what he was really like.

Seeing Maria's gaze, Alex slightly tilted his head to the side, trying to understand what she was thinking right now. Sipping his tea, Alex continued talking with Integra about Hellsing-related matters that needed to be discussed before he left tomorrow.

After sitting a little longer in the kitchen with the girls, Alex cleared the table and thought it was time to visit Alucard. Integra immediately headed to her office to continue working. Seras, Maria, Doll, and Alessa left together, leaving Alex alone in the kitchen. Before leaving the kitchen, Alex snapped his fingers to clean everything up.

And after that, he left the kitchen to head to the basement. Walking through the corridors of the mansion, Alex reached the painting and immediately opened it. Descending the stairs into the basement, Alex shook his head from side to side, humming the melody stuck in his head.

Reaching the very bottom, Alex approached the room where Alucard was and calmly opened the door. As soon as he opened the door, a cool mist that Alucard emitted hit him in the face.

Raising his gaze to his wife, who was sitting on her throne in her usual manner, Alex saw mist coming out of her mouth. Slightly tilting his head, not understanding what was happening, Alex blinked and suddenly found himself sitting on Alucard's throne, with Alucard herself sitting on top of him.

"Well hello, my love. I was already thinking you wouldn't come to me… I started thinking you had forgotten about me. And all your attention was focused on those two women," Alucard said in a tender tone, stroking Alex's cheek.

Alex looked into Alucard's red eyes, which burned with obsession. And Alex could very clearly feel how Alucard was literally pressing the space itself against his body so he couldn't escape. At that moment, Alex was very surprised that during this time of solitude, his wife had mastered her abilities so well that she had begun using them even better.

Quickly looking around, Alex noticed that the surrounding mist was not mist at all. What looked like mist was merely the boundary of a dimension that Alucard herself had created using her abilities. Like the spider Rom, Alucard had created her own isolated space where she could do whatever she wanted. Alex would have liked to applaud how well his wife had mastered her abilities, if only his arms weren't pinned down, preventing him from moving.

"HELP! I've been caught by a strange woman! She wants to do something to me!" Alex shouted, raising his head to the ceiling.

"You can scream as much as you want, my love. This is my territory," Alucard whispered, leaning toward Alex's ear.

Alex looked into Alucard's eyes and could no longer hold back — he burst out laughing. Hearing Alex's laughter, Alucard pulled back and began laughing too. Stopping pressing Alex against her throne, Alucard calmly sat on his lap, dangling her legs over the railing.

Hugging Alex around the neck, Alucard pressed her cheek against his, lightly touching his skin with her lips. Alex smiled and hugged Alucard around the waist, pulling her closer to himself. Alex and Alucard began enjoying the silence in each other's company. Alucard gently ran her nail along Alex's neck, causing him to feel a light tickle.

"I didn't think you'd be able to create your own Domain so quickly. Even if it's just an empty shell for now," Alex said, looking around.

"It was quite simple. Those memories with spatial abilities that you gave me… They were more than enough to understand a lot. Although the result is still mediocre," Alucard said in a calm tone, snapping her fingers.

After the sound of the finger snap came the sound of shattering glass. At the same moment, everything around became covered in cracks, and pieces of glass began falling to the floor, returning the basement to its usual appearance. Alex looked into Alucard's eyes and saw that she was slightly displeased that she could only create an empty isolated space.

Smiling slightly, Alex ran his fingers through Alucard's hair, showing that she had handled such abilities excellently. In response to Alex's comforting words, Alucard only rolled her eyes and poked him in the nose with her finger, showing that she didn't care.

"And have you tested your other abilities? After all, you absorbed all the special beings except four," Alex asked with interest, looking at his wife.

"Like this?" Alucard asked, raising her hand, and sparks of electricity began running between her fingers.

"That's the power of the Paarl beast… If I remember correctly, the first Cleric Beast mutated into an electric beast. But you didn't receive this ability back then," Alex said, touching Alucard's electrified fingers.

Alex looked at Alucard's hand covered in electricity, carefully observing how she controlled this ability. Wanting to see more, Alex looked at Alucard with a slight hint for her to show what she was capable of. Alucard shifted slightly on Alex's lap and pointed her finger to the side.

A small bolt of lightning flew from the tip of Alucard's finger and struck the wall, leaving a small hole with melted bricks behind. Alex whistled slightly at this, to which Alucard only rolled her eyes. After all, she had shown so little, yet her husband had already expressed surprise.

"There were other beasts too. Fire, blood, poison. Did you inherit all their powers? Or only the stronger monsters?" Alex asked in an interested tone.

"You tell me, my love. How many abilities did I gain during our date in the other world," Alucard said, and her palm burst into flames as she slowly moved her fingers.

Alex raised an eyebrow at Alucard's words and thought for a moment. Initially, he thought that Alucard had only absorbed the abilities of the stronger monsters, or that they had become her familiars. After all, during the time they were in Yharnam, Alucard had not used her new powers, except for the causality ability to skip sequences of actions, or to summon the absorbed beasts that had become her familiars.

But Alex was still pleased that his wife had gained so many different abilities, including space manipulation. The thought even flashed through Alex's mind that perhaps his wife would eventually become the same kind of being as the original Alucard after absorbing Schrödinger's blood.

"You know, it doesn't matter. The most important thing is that you're satisfied. Everything else doesn't matter," Alex said with a tender smile on his face.

"You're right. I was very satisfied with our date. But it seems you came to give me my last gift, my love. Isn't that so?" Alucard said, cupping Alex's cheeks with her palms.

"Decided to eavesdrop on the conversation thanks to the contract. How tactless of you, Carmilla," Alex said in a cheerful tone, hugging Alucard's waist tighter.

"What is it? Can I eat it? I don't remember there being any boundaries between us. I gave myself entirely to you and have full rights to you, my love. Even if you belong to other women, you also belong to me," Alucard said, leaning closer to Alex and looking at him with an obsessive gleam in her eyes.

Looking into Alucard's eyes, Alex realized that he wouldn't be able to leave anytime soon. And as confirmation, Alucard immediately kissed him on the lips, making it clear that before moving on to dessert, she preferred to have the main course first. Before everything began, Alex snapped his fingers, creating a temporary barrier to slow down time in the basement.

And just a moment later, his clothes were torn from his body. Alex didn't know how much time had passed inside the barrier, but he left the room looking like a man who had been attacked by a very hungry beast. Alex's hair was disheveled, red lipstick was smeared across his face, and clear bite marks were visible on both sides of his neck.

If Alex had taken off his T-shirt at that moment, distinct nail marks would have been visible on his back. Closing the door behind him, Alex sighed heavily. He loved his wife Alucard, but making love with her would be quite dangerous if he were an ordinary human. Rubbing the bite mark on his neck with his palm, Alex reached for a cigarette.

"Love is such… an extreme thing. But pleasant… Goddess of Blood sounds funny," Alex said, lighting a cigarette.

Laughing at his own joke, Alex looked at the closed doors and thought about Alucard, who was now sleeping in her coffin. After a rather long time, Alucard agreed to absorb the last Blood Echo to complete the process. Alex thought that by tomorrow evening, Alucard would wake up and possess quite significant power after absorbing the blood of the last Great Ones.

Alex himself had to work hard to separate all the impurities from the Great Ones' Blood Echo so that Alucard could calmly absorb the purified Echo. Burning the rest of his cigarette, Alex was going to go look for Seras. And luckily, he didn't need to search for her, because he knew where she was.

Turning around, Alex walked down the basement corridor toward Seras's room. Approaching Seras's room, Alex heard female voices belonging to Seras and Maria. Knocking lightly on the door, Alex gently pushed it open and entered Seras's room.

"Oh, Alex, you're here… What happened to you?!" Seras said with a cheerful smile on her face, which instantly changed to shock.

Seras and Maria, sitting at the table, froze in shock at Alex's appearance, who looked as if he had been thrown into a cage to be torn apart by wild animals. Doll and Alessa, sitting on Seras's bed, also looked at Alex with strange expressions.

Seeing her father's condition, Alessa slightly pursed her lips and turned away. Doll only tilted her head to the side, not understanding what had happened to him and why he looked like that. It quickly dawned on Seras what had happened to Alex, and her face instantly turned red.

Even though she made love with Alex, Seras was not as extreme in expressing her love for him compared to Alucard. Maria slightly narrowed her eyes with reddened cheeks. Alex, realizing that he still looked rather disheveled, calmly fixed his hair and wiped the remnants of lipstick from his face.

"There was a small and prolonged incident that did not depend on me or my actions," Alex said in a calm tone, smoothing his hair.

"Father, what happened to you cannot be called a small incident. Next time you come from Mom Alucard, try to put yourself in order," Alessa said in a cold tone, looking at Alex.

"Ugh, Alessa. Your words wound my heart. My little princess has turned away from me. How am I supposed to live now? Ah…" Alex said, clutching his heart and falling to his knees.

Alessa watched her father's acting with a cold gaze, showing no emotions, even when he fell to the floor. Alex fell to the floor with a thud, pretending to be dead from a broken heart. Doll, who was watching this, thought something was wrong with Alex and wanted to help him.

But before she could move, Alessa took her mother's hand and shook her head, showing that her father was just fooling around. Seras and Maria watched this performance with different emotions in their eyes, but mostly with amusement. Alex continued to lie on the floor in Seras's room, and no one even tried to approach him, except for Doll, who was still worried about him.

Sighing, Alessa jumped off the bed and walked over to Alex, standing next to him. Towering over her silly father, Alessa took out a black fly swatter from her small bag. Raising her hand, Alessa slapped Alex on the back with a smack, making it clear that he should stop acting stupid.

"Ouch, what for? I was just joking," Alex said, feeling the hit on his back and jumping up from the floor.

"Don't lie, Father. It doesn't hurt you. Next time, don't act stupid," Alessa said, putting the fly swatter back in her bag.

"Alright… As you say, little princess. I won't do it again," Alex said in a carefree tone, shrugging slightly.

Alessa looked at her father with a dry gaze and slightly rolled her eyes, returning to the bed and sitting next to Doll. Watching his daughter, Alex couldn't hide the smile on his face. Hearing light laughter nearby, Alex turned his head and looked at Seras and Maria, who had been watching this family performance.

Looking at the laughing Seras and Maria, Alex shook his head and sat down at the table with them to spend some time together. As soon as Alex sat down at the table, Seras couldn't resist asking him the obvious question.

Looking at Seras with a blank gaze, Alex leaned toward her and explained that Alucard was currently absorbing the Blood Echo, without telling her what had happened before. Seras only nodded and began asking about the process of absorbing the Blood Echo. Seeing Seras's interest in the topic of Blood Echoes, Alex decided to tell her more about the abilities Alucard was gaining.

"So Master can now create her own dimension. That's amazing," Seras said, clapping her hands with a smile on her face.

"So the fact that you are the Apostle of Destruction is not as surprising as Carmilla becoming something like a Deity," Alex said, poking Seras in the forehead.

"Well, those are two different things. I don't even know how strong I am right now," Seras said in an embarrassed tone, folding her arms across her chest.

"Really? You don't know the limits of your abilities and what you can do with them?" Maria asked, wanting to see what Seras was capable of.

Seras stretched her hand forward, and the black gloves on her hands turned into mist. A moment later, the black mist took the shape of a pistol. Seeing what Seras could do, Maria was surprised and wanted to see more. Watching Seras and Maria's interaction, Alex slightly leaned toward Seras and whispered a few words in her ear, causing Seras's eyes to widen.

Not giving Seras a chance to say anything, Alex kissed her on the cheek and stood up from the table. Before leaving, Alex also kissed Maria on the cheek, to which she responded with a gentle smile. Approaching Doll and Alessa, Alex first kissed Doll on the cheek, then kissed Alessa on the head before leaving. Having achieved the goal he had come for, Alex left Seras's room and planned to spend some time alone.

Exiting the mansion, Alex jumped onto the roof and calmly lay down, watching as the sun slowly disappeared behind the horizon. Gradually, the sun set, and Alex sat on the edge of the roof, observing the nighttime lights of London. Holding a cigarette between his fingers, Alex exhaled smoke, waiting for Seras. Taking another drag, Alex felt Seras appear behind him.

"I'm ready," came Seras's cheerful voice behind Alex.

Hearing Seras's voice, Alex turned his head and couldn't hold back a smile. Seras was wearing dark high-waisted jeans, a long black T-shirt tucked into the jeans, and a short black jacket.

It was the same outfit Seras had worn on their first date, which brought a smile to Alex's face. Seeing the change in Alex's expression, Seras clenched her fists behind her back, realizing she had made the right choice of clothing. Her mood instantly lifted, causing Seras to rock on her heels, quietly humming a melody.

"Then let's go. We'll take our usual walk around evening London, Seras," Alex said, extending his hand toward her.

"You still haven't said what the occasion for our date is. If it's because you're leaving tomorrow, there's nothing scary about it. I can come to you anytime," Seras said with a smile, taking Alex's hand.

"That's still a secret. You'll find out at the end of our date," Alex said, pulling Seras toward him.

Hugging Seras around the waist, Alex jumped off the roof and landed below. Carefully landing on the ground, Alex took his motorcycle out of his inventory and sat on it. Seeing the motorcycle, Seras immediately cheered up and sat behind Alex, wrapping her arms around his waist. Starting the engine, Alex immediately took off and headed toward London. Feeling the wind blowing around them, Seras was glad they were going on a date this way.

Even though she had become what she was, Seras still wanted to act like an ordinary girl. Reaching London, Alex parked the motorcycle in a familiar alley. Coming out of the alley with Seras, they began their small date around London, visiting the same places they had gone to the first time.

Throughout the entire walk, Seras couldn't hold back the smile on her face, tightly hugging Alex's arm and walking beside him. Strolling along the embankment, Alex told his usual silly jokes, which made Seras laugh. Continuing the walk, Alex and Seras stopped at a bench where there weren't many people nearby. When Seras sat down, Alex immediately went to buy coffee.

"Here's your coffee, Seras. It's a very nice night tonight," Alex said, returning to Seras with coffee in his hands.

"Thank you… It brings back memories of when we first walked like this. I even missed it a little," Seras said, taking a small sip of coffee and leaning on Alex's shoulder.

"You say that as if years have passed since our first walk. Even though it was only a few weeks ago," Alex said, wrapping his arm around Seras's shoulder and pulling her closer.

"Really. It's hard to believe that only a month has passed since the day you jumped through the Hellsing window. It feels like several years have gone by," Seras said, resting her head on Alex's shoulder.

"And don't forget, there are still many things waiting for us ahead. There will be even more adventures. And you'll get to see more," Alex said, kissing Seras on the head.

"Hahaha. I'll only be happy about that. But you still haven't said what the reason for our date is. Although I don't mind," Seras said, turning her head to Alex and squeezing his cheeks with her palms.

"It's still a secret. Don't forget, there's one last place left in our walk," Alex said, poking Seras on the nose.

"Then what are you waiting for? Let's go to Big Ben," Seras said, grabbing Alex's hand and pulling him up to help him stand.

Alex laughed at Seras pulling him and stood up from the bench. With a wide smile on her face, Seras began pulling him toward Big Ben, eager to find out what Alex had planned. Seras quickly dragged Alex to Big Ben, and before he could react, she lifted him in her arms. Finding himself in Seras's arms, Alex looked at her face with a bright smile in surprise.

Seras pushed off the ground and instantly jumped to the very top of Big Ben, where she set Alex down. Standing at the very top of Big Ben, Alex and Seras watched the evening London. And no matter how many times Alex saw this sight, he still liked it. Seras, with a bright smile on her face, leaned on the railing and turned her head toward Alex.

"So… Spill it, what did you plan?" Seras said, continuing to smile brightly and looking into Alex's eyes.

"Do you want it on one knee or the normal way?" Alex asked, putting his hand into his coat pocket.

"Is this what I think it is?" Seras asked, swallowing hard and staring at Alex in shock.

"Yes, it's what you think," Alex said, nodding.

"I'm not mistaken, am I?" Seras asked carefully, starting to get nervous with anticipation.

"No. You're not mistaken," Alex said, taking out a small box from his pocket.

Seeing the small box in Alex's hands, Seras immediately covered her mouth with her hand, experiencing a huge explosion of emotions in her head. Still in shock, Seras carefully reached her hand forward and slowly opened the box that Alex was holding. Opening the box, Seras saw a white gold ring inside with beautiful engraving and a small blue stone resembling the sky.

Seeing this ring, Seras froze in shock, and tears began to roll down her eyes, which she started wiping away. At that moment, Seras was experiencing an even greater amount of emotions, but the biggest emotion was joy. Seras understood that she was receiving her ring from Alex.

She had imagined this moment, but she hadn't expected that when it finally came, her emotions would go out of control. After all, only yesterday morning she had seen the ring on Integra's finger. Even though more time had passed for Alex since that day, for her it had only been one day.

"Why are you crying, you crybaby Police Girl," Alex said, wiping the tears from Seras's face.

"I'm not a crybaby… I'm just really happy. I thought that after becoming a Nosferatu, I wouldn't be able to have a normal family. And now I… see this ring… and my emotions…" Seras said, continuing to cry while looking into Alex's eyes.

"Does it really matter what happened in the past? We live here and now. That's what's important. So stop crying and smile. The way you always smile," Alex said tenderly, wiping the remaining tears from Seras's eyes.

Hearing Alex's words, Seras smiled widely, and her teary eyes sparkled slightly. Seras leaned into Alex's palm, continuing to smile. Pulling back a little from Alex, Seras extended her hand toward him, showing that she wanted him to put the ring on her finger. Alex smiled and took the ring out of the box.

Gently taking Seras's hand in his, Alex slipped the ring onto her finger. When the ring was on her finger, Seras once again experienced a whole storm of emotions that she could no longer hold back. Seras immediately pounced on Alex, wrapping her legs around his waist and grabbing his face with her palms.

At that same moment, Seras kissed Alex, pressing her whole body against him. Not stopping at Alex's lips, Seras began kissing his face with a silly smile. Feeling his face being showered with kisses, Alex couldn't hold back the smile on his own face.

"Did you like my gift?" Alex asked while Seras showered his face with kisses.

"I liked it very much. Very. Very. Very much. I'm so happy. And I love you so much!" Seras said, continuing to shower Alex's face with kisses, finishing with one strong kiss on the cheek.

Seeing Seras's reaction, Alex was very glad that he hadn't messed up with the ring once again. Alex's wives, who were watching this, almost applauded the fact that their husband hadn't screwed up with such a proposal again. At the same time, congratulations from all the girls appeared in the family chat, including Integra, who was also happy for Seras.

Alex didn't know what was happening in the family chat. At that moment, he was busy feeling Seras rubbing her cheek against his with a silly smile on her face. Alex understood that Seras wouldn't let him go anytime soon, and all he could do was enjoy her very tight embrace.

To be continued...

(Well, here's another chapter of everyday life. I promised, of course, that we'd go back. But family things like this are just as important to the plot. I had to give Seras her moment of happiness. Wow, I almost cried, it was so sweet. I understand, of course, that someone like me will die alone, so let my characters find happiness. Okay, enough about me. Time to move on with the plot. You already know what happens next. So I can go eat without explaining what you already know. Peace, love, and very big hugs.)
