Hirvan pressed his teeth together as he made his way toward Irama. His steps were steady, but there was a faint edge of annoyance in the way his shoulders held firm.
"You didn't say you were coming," he said, his voice carrying a restrained irritation. "The Ashford driver is already on his way."
Irama didn't respond immediately. Instead, he walked ahead and opened the passenger door with calm precision, as though everything had already been arranged long before Hirvan had the chance to question it.
"I've already informed your father," Irama replied in a composed tone.
Hirvan's lips twitched at that, not quite forming a smile, not quite a frown either, as he slid into the seat. The leather was cool beneath him, and the faint scent of the car wrapped around him in a familiar way.
'Dad agreed to this willingly? That sounds very unlikely…' he thought with quiet disbelief. 'It must have been Mum who pushed it through.'
