Episode 7: Shadows Behind the Curtain
One Week Later
A week had passed since Living the Sarah Life ended.
The mansion had finally returned to its usual quiet. No cameras. No flashing lights. Just calm.
Sarah stretched lazily on the couch.
"I kind of miss the chaos."
Sandra laughed.
"You miss the attention."
Sarah smiled.
"Maybe a little."
Sam sat quietly near the window, staring outside. The silence felt strange after everything that had happened.
Miss Bani walked in, holding her phone.
"Sam, you're coming with me."
Sam looked up.
"Where?"
"A short trip. Business."
Sam nodded.
"Okay."
Sandra raised an eyebrow.
"Just the two of you?"
Miss Bani gave a small smile.
"Yes."
Sam grabbed her jacket. Something about the trip felt… different.
The Trip
The drive was quiet at first.
Miss Bani glanced at Sam.
"You handled the reality show well."
Sam looked slightly surprised.
"Thank you."
Miss Bani continued.
"You observe more than you speak."
Sam nodded.
"I prefer watching."
Miss Bani smiled faintly.
"Good. That will keep you alive."
Sam turned slightly, but Miss Bani didn't explain further.
Return to the City
Later that evening, they returned home.
Sam decided to stop by the ISS branch to resume her duties.
The building looked normal.
Too normal.
Sam walked inside.
Silence.
No staff.
No movement.
Her instincts sharpened.
She moved quietly down the hallway.
Then she heard mechanical movement.
Sam froze.
Robots.
Patrolling the hallway.
Her eyes narrowed.
"Something's wrong."
She slipped into the shadows, moving carefully.
Then she heard voices coming from the main office.
The Capture
Sam reached the door.
She slowly peeked inside.
Her eyes widened.
The ISS President sat tied to a chair.
His family beside him.
Standing calmly in front of them…
A man.
Tall.
Still.
Dangerous.
He turned slowly.
His eyes landed on Sam.
"So… you've grown."
Sam stepped forward slowly.
"You…"
The man tilted his head slightly.
"I remember you."
Sam's voice tightened.
"You killed my parents."
The room fell silent.
The man didn't deny it.
"Yes."
Sam's fists clenched.
"Let them go."
The man smiled faintly.
"You've improved. I can see it."
Sam lunged forward.
The Fight
Sam attacked quickly.
Precise.
Focused.
The man blocked effortlessly.
Every strike she made… he countered.
Sam moved faster.
He stepped aside.
She aimed again.
He disarmed her smoothly.
Sam stumbled back.
The man sighed quietly.
"Still too emotional."
Sam charged again.
He stopped her in seconds.
Then stepped back.
"This is still child's play."
He pressed a small device.
Smoke filled the room.
Sam coughed.
When the smoke cleared…
He was gone.
Rescue
Sam quickly untied the President and his family.
"Are you alright?"
The President nodded.
"Yes… thanks to you."
Sam scanned the room.
The robots shut down.
Everything returned to silence.
But Sam's mind raced.
This wasn't random.
This was planned.
Meanwhile — Amanda
Amanda sat alone in a quiet café.
Someone sat across from her.
She looked up.
A man.
Calm.
Composed.
Laspa.
"I've been watching you," he said.
Amanda frowned slightly.
"What do you want?"
Laspa studied her.
"You don't like being second."
Amanda didn't respond.
Laspa leaned back.
"You're capable of more."
Amanda crossed her arms.
"And you know this how?"
Laspa placed a small card on the table.
"If you ever want more… call."
He stood up.
Then walked away.
Amanda stared at the card.
She didn't pick it up.
But she didn't leave either.
Mayor and President
Later that night…
The Mayor sat across from the ISS President.
"This is serious."
The President nodded.
"He's back."
The Mayor's expression darkened.
"Laspa…"
The President leaned forward.
"And he's not acting alone."
The Mayor looked concerned.
"You mean…"
The President nodded slowly.
"The organization."
Silence filled the room.
Final Scene
Sam stood on the rooftop of the ISS building.
Wind blowing softly.
Her mind replayed the fight.
Laspa's calm voice.
His effortless movements.
She clenched her fist.
"This isn't over."
Far below…
The city lights flickered.
And somewhere in the shadows…
The game had already begun.
