Staring blankly at the darkened screen for a long time, Lingtuo persistently dialed again.
On the fifth try, the girl finally answered.
On the screen, she looked somewhat disheveled, as if she had just woken up, her hair a bit messy, still wearing pajamas.
Lingtuo looked at her deeply, "What, just woke up?"
Jia Xuan's expression was somewhat perfunctory. She gathered her collar with her hand, hiding her neck. She said, "Yeah, I slept in today, didn't wake up until almost noon."
Though feeling somewhat heavy-hearted, Lingtuo still asked concernedly, "Did you stay up late last night?"
Jia Xuan nodded, "Yeah."
For some reason, when Lingtuo talked to her, he unintentionally became more cautious, unlike before. If he knew she stayed up late, he would have harshly criticized her and even ordered her not to do so again.
But now, the subtle changes between them made him afraid to lose his temper with her, fearing she would cut the video off and he wouldn't be able to see her anymore.
