"What are you doing? You're eating while I watch?" Song Xiaodong asked.
"Yes."
"Having a meal alone is really quite lonely," Qiao Yutong said.
"Watching you eat alone makes me feel lonely too."
Song Xiaodong said that, but he didn't leave, sitting on the couch watching Qiao Yutong eat.
"Could you wash the bowl for me too?" Qiao Yutong asked, her cheeks puffed up with food, looking up at Song Xiaodong with pleading eyes.
"How can you shamelessly say something like that?" Song Xiaodong said, amused and annoyed, looking at Qiao Yutong.
"If you're helping someone, help them to the end. It's like sending a Buddha to the West. Washing dishes counts as strenuous exercise," Qiao Yutong said grandly, waving a hand.
"This is a perfect example of taking a mile when given an inch."
Song Xiaodong glared at Qiao Yutong, picked up the dishes on the table, and walked into the kitchen.
