Third-person POV
As soon as Seraphina asked Electra to just tell her what she could do to ease the pain, Electra would realize that whether consciously or subconsciously, Seraphina was keeping her distance, and trying very hard to keep things between them serious and formal. It was obvious in the way Seraphina stood stiffly beside the bed instead of sitting down comfortably, and also in the way she kept avoiding Electra's eyes for too long whenever they looked at each other directly.
Even her voice sounded careful now, like she was constantly measuring every word before speaking. At that realization, Electra would quietly chuckle to herself despite how weak and exhausted she felt.
Honestly, if she had not been so tired and frustrated with her current condition, she might have found the whole thing funny.
