I dove after the boy and was able to grab him just before he could hit the side of the building
I held him tightly in my arms as my back slammed against the glass slope
The glass ripped through my jacket and began slashing my back as we slid down the pyramid
I could hear the boy screaming as we fell
Mike tried to fly after us but we were picking up too much speed, he didn't see away to help us without doing more harm
Isaac could see us falling as he ran outside
He went outside and quickly ran around in a circle creating a small wister that countered balanced the momentum we were falling
J made sure we stayed aligned with the twister
We slowed down enough for Michael to swoop in and grab us and bring us down safely
Michael placed us on the ground
I was in shock and still holding the boy tightly
Mike: It's ok bro, I got him
He said putting his hand on my shoulder as he reached for the boy
I loosened my grip and gave him the kid
Mike: Easy, here we go
Michael picked him up and handed him to the medics and reunited him with his mom
J and Isaac helped me up
Isaac: CAN WE GET SOME HELP OVER HERE
Emt's immediately rushed over to help
After getting patched up and almost giving my friends a heart attack, they wanted to know what, actually happened up there

I just didn't know if I could live with myself knowing I could have at least tryed to save him
Mike: And we get that but you have to see it from our point of view, if we lose you, we're not just losing our odds of winning this war
We're losing a part of ourselves that gave us hope, and a reason to show mercy
I think Chris might have said it best, letting one pass away is better if you can save billions in the process
So we're not just losing you, we're losing the lives you could have saved

Speaking of that, is there any update on us getting out of here, while I was up there my earpiece started acting up so I had to step on it to not be discovered by the Thorns
Mike: Yeah, Sam said something was interfering with the communicators, probably had something to do with your little visit from the devil

Mike: Yeah, but we shouldn't have to wait for too much longer, Chris and Jake did say that they we're gonna check in every 2hrs so when Sam doesn't answer they're probably gonna make there way towards us
Eddie: Ok good, besides we could use a break after a job well done

As we waited, we enjoyed talking about all that happened during our mission, but little did we know that we we're being watched from on top of the pyramid
Lucifer: It would have seem that our little friend still needs a little more convincing

The devil snapped and summoned a stage 2 Thorn

The man rolled up one of his sleeves revealing a wolf tattoo with a moon behind it
Alpha: Scar
A dark purple mist spilled out from the eyes and mouth of the wolf tattoo
As the trail hit the floor a purple pentagram was created
Deep growling could be heard from the creature as the purple smoke slowly formed into a horrifying werewolf that towered over the two men
The beast leaped on to the Thorn grasping the demon by it's throat
In an instant the two vanished as the purple smoke consumed them both
Seconds later they reappeared on top of the Memphis bridge
The werewolf then dropped the demon into the river and returned to it's master
When the stage two Thorn hit the water it began mutating
RUMBLE!! RUMBLE!! RUMBLE!!
The ground began shacking uncontrollably
