Upon entering the room, seeing the expressions on Wang Kui and Yang Qiu's faces, everyone guessed that they were close to a good thing. They each found a place to sit, and Yang Ming's father spoke, "Wang Kui, you sit too. What's the matter? Why come so late?"
Wang Kui didn't sit down but stood next to Yang Qiu, looked at Yang Ming's father and said, "Sir, I'm really sorry to disturb you so late. I came to let you know that Yang Qiu has agreed to the marriage."
As soon as these words were spoken, everyone's gaze focused even more on Yang Qiu and Wang Kui.
Though it was night and a candle was lit, the room was still quite dim. Yang Qiu stood there, feeling very embarrassed and looking down, her face blushing red, making it obvious to see she was shy.
