Granny Li secretly glanced back at the hall and, noticing no one was paying attention to them, said, "Hey, what's the big deal, we can just start over."
"Alright then, this time you count, otherwise I'll forget again in a bit."
"No worries, we can always start over again."
The conversation between the two old maids reached Miss Qian's ears, nearly driving her insane. Were these damned old women deliberately messing with her? Who forgets to keep count halfway through a beating?
That old maid's random strikes had already made her cheeks swell up, and now they're saying they forgot the count and will redo it? They were obviously toying with her.
Miss Qian received a slap on her left cheek, then another on her right, her head wobbling with each hit, yet she still cursed defiantly, "You damned old witches, daring to use public power for personal grudges, I'll report you to the Prince."
Just when they were about to be done, they claimed they forgot the count, it infuriated her.
