At this moment, in Long Linger's bedroom.
Aphrodite was keeping watch through the night. In the first half, from seven to ten, she had slept for a while on the sofa.
She'd originally planned to sleep for two hours and told Long Linger to wake her at nine, but Long Linger never woke her, and by the time she opened her eyes it was already ten.
The bedroom lights were turned down to the dimmest setting, and on the bed, Long Linger was already fast asleep. The main task tonight was to keep an eye on her and make sure nothing dangerous happened to her while she was sleepwalking.
Aphrodite stood up and did a few pull-ups to drive away the growing drowsiness. When she finished and lifted her head, she saw Long Linger roll over, the quilt sliding off the bed to the floor. She walked over, picked up the quilt, and covered Long Linger again.
