The lights in the stadium darkened, plunging everyone inside—seated or standing into darkness.
The only lights were from the stars above, only giving the barest illumination of silhouettes. Any attendee trying to use their own light quickly found that it wasn't functioning. Flashlights refused to light and glow sticks remained dull.
