Chapter 49 - Skills of a magical doctor

"If you can save this man from death… right now—

I'll publicly accept that you are the best doctor in this entire city."

A strange smile spread across Joseph's face as he said it.

But Om—

Didn't even look at him.

His entire focus was on the patient.

Seeing this, Joseph gave a subtle signal to the short man.

Understanding instantly—

The man stepped forward and addressed the crowd loudly:

"So tell me, brothers! We all know how deadly Nemos fruit poison is!"

He pointed at the unconscious man.

"In a few minutes, this man will be dead—straight to heaven!"

Then he pointed at Om.

"And this 'Doctor Om' is claiming he can save him!"

He scoffed.

"Isn't this nothing but lying to this innocent child? Tell me—am I right or not?"

Murmurs spread.

Doubt.

Fear.

The crowd started shifting.

Joseph smiled.

Everything was going exactly as planned.

There is no cure for Nemos poison.

He knew it.

Everyone knew it.

Om had just walked into a trap.

A perfect one.

Joseph's smile turned darker.

Now let's see how you escape this, boy…

You've just destroyed yourself.

Om's Move

Om stood up.

Calm.

Collected.

As if he had already seen through everything.

Without a word—

He took out a blank paper from his pocket.

Signed it.

Then turned toward the crowd.

"This is a signed blank paper."

Everyone went silent.

"If I fail to save this man… I will hand this to Joseph."

A pause.

"He can write anything he wants on it."

Gasps spread across the crowd.

Shock.

Even Joseph's eyes widened.

He had never imagined—

Om would take such a risk.

But then—

A smirk returned.

Because in his mind—

There was no way Om could win.

"Deal,"

Joseph said immediately.

Inside the Clinic – The Impossible Begins

Om rushed the patient inside.

Laid him on the surgical table.

Closed his eyes.

Placed his hand on the man's chest.

And then—

Everything changed.

Om's Power Awakens

Silence.

Deep.

Absolute.

His breathing slowed.

And slowly—

A faint glow began forming around his hands.

He wasn't just examining—

He was feeling.

The poison.

Inside the body.

Flowing.

Spreading.

Destroying.

Om could sense it—

Like dark energy crawling through veins.

Reaching the lungs.

Blocking breath.

Corrupting blood.

His eyes snapped open.

Outside – Arrogance Peaks

"Boss, this guy looks strong… but he's actually a fool,"

the short man laughed.

"He just destroyed himself."

Joseph smirked.

"Lalu… once I get that signed paper…"

His voice turned cruel.

"I'll make sure he and his entire family beg on the streets."

He took a slow drag.

"Joseph is not just a name… it's a storm."

Inside – The Miracle Begins

Om's hands—

Now glowing brighter.

Not flashy.

But intense.

Controlled.

He moved them slowly over the patient's body—

Without touching at first.

Then—

Pressed down.

The energy flowed in.

Like invisible currents.

Suddenly—

A faint purple glow appeared on the man's abdomen.

The poison.

Concentrating.

Gathering.

Like liquid darkness.

Om immediately grabbed a set of wooden acupuncture needles.

Not normal tools—

These were precise.

Ancient.

He inserted them around the purple zone.

One by one.

Carefully.

As soon as the needles entered—

They began turning deep violet.

Absorbing the poison.

The purple mass—

Started shrinking.

Slowly.

Painfully.

Like something being pulled out from inside.

Om increased pressure—

Targeting exact nerve points.

Then suddenly—

He placed a bucket near the man's mouth.

"Now."

Within seconds—

The man's body jerked.

And he vomited—

Thick, dark purple fluid.

The poison.

Expelled.

Completely.

The room fell silent.

The man's breathing—

Normalized.

His skin—

Regained color.

Life—

Returned.

Om didn't stop.

He immediately placed two tablets in the man's mouth—

Gave him water.

Stabilizing the system.

Finalizing the cure.

Outside – Storm Incoming

A car screeched to a halt.

The Mayor stepped out—

Along with Anshika.

They froze.

Seeing the massive crowd.

The chaos.

Some injured men standing outside.

"What the hell is happening here?"

the Mayor said, alarmed.

"Why is there a crowd here? Is Om in trouble?"

Anshika's face filled with fear.

They rushed forward—

But just then—

The short man noticed them.

And his face—

Turned pale instantly.

Because now—

Things were about to go out of control.
