Chapter 53 -  A Life That Feels Too Perfect

The moment Om stepped into the company's head office, he noticed that Anshika was already there… and Seema stood beside her.

As soon as they saw Om and the Mayor walk in, both of them stood up from their seats and greeted them with polite smiles.

Om acknowledged them… but without any real expression.

That one small thing didn't go unnoticed.

Somewhere deep inside, it hurt Anshika.

But she hid it well.

She knew this wasn't the right place… nor the right time to let her emotions show. In her heart, she believed Om was still holding on to the past… the things that had once come between them, keeping her at a distance.

"So, Om… just go through these documents and sign them."

The Mayor said, handing him a set of papers.

"And after that… half of this company will be yours."

Om looked at the papers… then at the Mayor.

"For the last time, Uncle… are you sure about this? You really want to hand over something this big to me… without hesitation? I don't think I deserve this."

His voice was serious.

They had already discussed this many times… and yet, the Mayor hadn't changed his mind.

Not even a little.

"Yes, Om. I'm absolutely sure."

The Mayor said firmly, glancing at both Om and Anshika.

"I'm handing this company over to you… and my niece Anshika. I trust both of you will live up to my expectations."

A pause.

"And I don't want any more arguments on this."

Anshika quietly looked at Om from the corner of her eye.

But Om… didn't react.

"Then I don't need to read them."

He said simply.

And before anyone could process it—

He signed the papers.

Just like that.

Everyone in the room was stunned.

But the Mayor…

He smiled.

Proud.

He stepped forward and pulled Om into a hug.

A Few Days Later…

Life had changed.

Completely.

Om was now a company owner.

The business was growing fast. His family was happy. Everything—on the surface—was perfect.

For the first time in a long while… life felt stable.

He had even let go of the bitterness between him and Anshika. Slowly, he began to see a different side of her—someone who laughed with children, helped people, cared without expecting anything back.

They were partners now.

Holding on to the past made no sense anymore.

And maybe… she had been right too.

Those were immature days… not days of understanding.

She had already apologized more than enough.

So Om decided—

It was time to start fresh.

He extended a hand of friendship.

And this time…

She took it.

A new beginning.

One that felt right… for both of them.

(Everything else remains unchanged.)

Om spent most of his time at his clinic, treating people.

And not just any clinic—

It had now become one of the most well-known clinics in the city.

His name wasn't limited to just one place anymore… it had started spreading to nearby cities as well.

People had even given him a title—

"The Incredible Doctor."

His days were simple.

Work in the morning and evening…

And at night—

He would study the books Guruji had given him.

With every passing day, as he unlocked more of his inner power… something about him kept changing.

He looked sharper.

More intense.

More… magnetic.

Om had everything now.

The kind of life any young man would dream of—

Attention.

Looks.

A strong, attractive body.

Money.

Fame.

Family.

And above all…

Power.

A kind of power no one else had ever possessed.

But strangely…

None of it satisfied him.

Because deep inside…

One question refused to leave him alone—

Where is my life going?

What is my purpose?

If he had been given such power…

There had to be a reason.

He knew one thing for sure—

His purpose wasn't money.

It wasn't fame.

Because with great power…

Came something far bigger.

Responsibility.

And that unanswered question…

Slowly started eating him from within.

No matter how much he tried—

He couldn't figure it out.

And Guruji…

Hadn't given him any answers either.

Late Night — Around 12:30 AM

Om had been meditating for a long time.

Now, he lay on the bed in his clinic's rest room… shirtless, staring at the ceiling, lost in his thoughts.

The silence around him felt heavy.

Almost suffocating.

Those four walls…

Felt like they were closing in.

He suddenly got up, threw on a T-shirt, and stepped outside for some fresh air.

He had barely taken a few steps away from the clinic door—

When he heard it.

A rustling sound.

From the bushes nearby.

He turned.

But it was too dark to see anything clearly.

For a moment, he ignored it and started walking again—

And then—

A faint sound.

A girl's voice.

A painful… weak groan.

Om froze.

At this hour?

A girl… in the bushes?

Something wasn't right.

He quickly moved toward the sound, pushing aside the branches.

And what he saw—

Made him stop in his tracks.

A girl.

Lying there.

Barely alive.

Om's eyes widened as he looked around, trying to understand what was going on.

"A girl… here? At this time…?"

He muttered under his breath.

Something about this…

Felt very wrong.

And for the first time in days—

That strange, restless feeling inside him Got stronger.
