"What exactly is this 'Killing Mode,' Adi?"
Vipul asked, his eyes filled with disbelief and curiosity as he stared at Adi. Even though Kakbhushundi had already told him quite a bit about Adi on the way, Vipul still couldn't bring himself to believe that a single person could take on a hundred enemies alone. But the moment Adi casually mentioned a secret technique he called Killing Mode, Vipul's curiosity spiked even higher. He needed to know.
Hearing his question, Adi didn't even turn back. He simply kept walking toward the swarm of terrifying zombies ahead and said in a relaxed tone—
"Have a Melody… you'll find out yourself."
Vipul's face dropped slightly, disappointment flickering across it. Kakbhushundi noticed immediately. With a soft smile, he stepped closer and said in a calm, knowing voice—
"That… is his greatest trait."
Vipul turned toward him, listening intently.
"The day I learned that a human named Aditya would be brought from another planet to our Earth in the future… I was intrigued. What kind of person could make even the gods bend their own rules? I had to see for myself. So I kept watching this child for a long time."
His gaze drifted toward Adi, now nearing the horde.
"And then I discovered something… When he was given a second life, he didn't just return. Along with it came something close to immortality. But the most dangerous thing he received… was that terrifying, mysterious power he calls—Killing Mode."
Vipul's impatience grew. His eyes locked onto Kakbhushundi.
Seeing that, Kakbhushundi smiled faintly and continued—
"When he enters that state… it feels as if Yama himself has descended in his fiercest form. Not just to fight—but to end lives. The moment he taps into that power, his speed, agility, and strength rise beyond limits… and he unleashes destruction like a divine wrath."
He paused, his eyes gleaming.
"And it seems… we're about to witness it ourselves. So watch closely. This is something you don't understand through words… only by seeing."
Both Kakbhushundi and Vipul turned their full attention toward Adi.
At that moment, Adi broke into a sprint.
Then—he leapt.
Mid-air, he pressed his hand against the red triangular mark glowing on his chest… and roared—
"Adi… Killing Mode ON!"
In the very next second—
A black suit materialized over his body like liquid metal snapping into place. Crimson lines spread across it, glowing like flowing blood, pulsing with a sinister energy.
And then—
He landed right in the middle of the zombie horde.
What followed…
Was not a fight.
It was slaughter.
Adi moved like a storm unleashed—too fast to follow, too brutal to comprehend. Limbs flew. Bodies collapsed. His strikes were sharp, precise, and merciless. Every movement carried deadly intent. He tore through the monsters like a force of nature, leaving nothing but destruction in his wake.
The air filled with the stench of decay and the splatter of green blood. Within moments, Adi himself was drenched in it—standing like a demon bathed in the remains of his enemies.
Ten minutes.
That was all it took.
Over a hundred grotesque creatures… wiped out.
Silence fell.
Vipul and Kakbhushundi stood frozen, their eyes wide, their minds struggling to process what they had just witnessed. It wasn't human. It wasn't even imaginable.
It was something else entirely.
Without a word, Adi turned and walked back toward his bus as if nothing had happened.
Inside, he activated a piece of advanced technology—a compact cube capable of storing massive amounts of equipment without any weight. One by one, he stored his weapons, his robotic units, and everything essential into that tiny box.
Then he headed straight for a shower.
—
Outside, Kakbhushundi and Vipul waited.
The sky slowly darkened.
And then—
They saw it.
A massive meteor.
It tore through the sky, blazing with unstoppable force as it hurtled toward Earth.
At that exact moment, the bus door opened.
A young man stepped out.
Vipul's eyes widened in shock.
"Wait… this… this 20–22-year-old guy… is Adi?"
Adi smiled lightly and replied—
"No, sir… I'm 24."
After his shower, he had trimmed his hair and beard. Now, he looked like a completely different person—a sharp, handsome young man, far removed from the blood-soaked warrior they had just seen.
Kakbhushundi nodded, satisfied.
"Well then… let's go. To your new home."
Hearing that, Adi and Vipul exchanged glances before nodding in agreement.
Kakbhushundi joined his hands and began chanting in Sanskrit, his voice echoing with power—
"O Great Lord of Time, grant your humble servant permission… By your command, allow me to traverse through this beautiful flow of time and space. I am deeply grateful for the path you have given. Glory to the Lord of Time!"
As the final words left his lips—
The sky shifted.
White and dark smoke spread across the heavens, swirling rapidly. Slowly, those clouds descended toward them, forming spiraling vortexes of vibrant colors—red, blue, gold, violet—spinning like portals of another realm.
Vipul and Adi stared in shock.
Then—
They began to rise.
The swirling energy lifted them into the air, wrapping them inside a glowing, multicolored sphere.
And just then—
The meteor struck.
It hit the Earth with catastrophic force.
A wave of molten lava spread across the surface like a living ocean of fire. Everything it touched—humans, creatures, structures—turned to ash in an instant.
It looked as if Mother Earth had draped herself in a burning shroud.
Beautiful.
And horrifying.
Adi watched it all… silently.
For the last time.
Memories flooded his mind—his birth, the love he received, the experiments that led to his death… and then his rebirth. His powers. His battles. His endless fight against the zombies on this dead land.
Tears welled up in his eyes—so quietly that even he didn't realize it at first.
With a heavy heart, he looked at his dying world and whispered—
"Goodbye… my Mother Earth. I'll never forget the beautiful memories you gave me. You are my true home… and you always will be. I just hope… next time, a peaceful and beautiful world is born."
His voice broke slightly.
"Goodbye… my home. Goodbye."
And with that—
The glowing sphere vanished into the sky.
