Everyone blinked.
The silence stretched.
Scarlett crossed her arms. "I wonder. If Jason was a girl, you would have married him by now."
Dom's face went through several stages, confusion, horror, disgust, before settling on outrage. "Oh my god, Scar! No! Never! That's, he's like—" He flailed his hands. "I've known him since we were in diapers! He's like my little brother! My annoying little brother who steals my hoodies and eats my food! I would never—" He shuddered dramatically. "You've ruined my whole night. I need to wash my brain."
Bella was laughing so hard she had to lean on Scarlett.
Hazel, who had been quietly watching the whole exchange, finally spoke. "So you're saying you're available?"
Dom's mouth opened. Closed. Opened again. His face went red. "That's not—I didn't—you can't just—"
"I'm just asking," Hazel said, her lips twitching.
"You're teasing me."
"I'm being curious."
"You're being evil."
Hazel just grinned.
