Leo's jaw tightened further. His gray eyes darkened, the warmth draining away, replaced by something cold and dangerous.
His voice was low, barely above a whisper. "Keep going. See what happens."
Bella's heart raced. She should stop. She knew she should stop. But his expression, the barely contained fire in his eyes, made her want to push further.
Her voice was light and teasing. "He also has a very nice smile. And he's very kind. And he—"
Leo pulled her off his lap and bent her over the arm of the couch.
Bella gasped. "Leo!"
He lifted her skirt again, his hand firm on her lower back. The rabbit ears flopped forward, dangling in front of her face.
His voice was low and controlled. "You were saying?"
Bella's voice was high and panicked. "Nothing!"
Leo's fingers pressed into her hip. "About Karl's eyes?"
Her words tumbled out. "His eyes are nice!"
Leo's hand hovered. "And his arms?"
Bella squeezed her eyes shut. "Normal arms!"
His voice was silky. "His hair?"
