Bella's expression became even more offended, her eyes widening. "Father instinct doesn't exist."
"It does now."
She stared at him for several seconds, clearly trying to decide whether she wanted to laugh or argue.
She chose arguing.
"You've known you're a father again for less than a day and you're already acting like an expert."
"I'm learning quickly and you can call me expert because I knew how to handle Elil."
"You're becoming annoying quickly."
Leo smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling. "That's also impressive."
Bella grabbed the pillow beside her and hugged it tightly against her chest, turning her face away from him. "I'm not sleeping."
Leo looked at her pout.
He knew she was genuinely irritated but there was something almost adorable about how quickly her expression had changed. A few minutes ago, she had been laughing and pinching his waist. Now she looked as though he had personally ruined her entire evening.
