Though separated by screens and communicating through cold text, through the words, Hao Jian could see Shu Ya's facial expression from far away—surely she was puffing out her cheeks, pretending to be angry when she sent the message. Thinking about this, a smile involuntarily appeared on his face.
He quickly sent back a message: "Just wait and see, I'll be waiting for you to come back!"
Hao Jian was initially eagerly waiting for Shu Ya to send a message back, but after a minute or two, there was still no response. He guessed she must be busy since she had mentioned before that while it was morning for her, it was evening here, and the time difference was not the same.
Thinking of this, the excitement he felt faded away a lot, replaced by a sense of loss. He tossed the phone onto the bed, lay flat on it, and let his thoughts wander aimlessly.
