Upon finishing his speech, Qian Kunzi stood up and formed an unknown spell with his fingers.
Beneath the towering cliff, within Qiulong Tan, a long, monstrous creature coiled in spirals rose from the mist.
Amidst the clouds and fog, a lengthy creature appeared, its scales like iron and eyes like lanterns—a flood dragon several dozen zhangs long, roughly the thickness of a barrel.
The dragon had yet to grow horns atop its head nor claws beneath its body, but it already exhibited the characteristics of a dragon as it leapt and soared through the air.
Qian Kunzi stood with hands behind his back, his sleeves fluttering, as the flood dragon soared in front of him and obediently halted at the edge of the cliff.
He stepped onto its back and drew a talisman with a flourish on its head, then shouted.
"Rise!"
And so the flood dragon ascended into the sky, half cloud, half mist, heading toward the Central Plains.
