Almost an hour later, Lin Kuang sat on the sofa, contentedly lighting a cigarette. While he smoked in silence, Yang Ruotong busied herself in the kitchen.
Around eight o'clock, little Xinxin came stumbling down the stairs, her mouth wide as she yawned continuously. Upon seeing Lin Kuang on the sofa, she paused, then greeted him with a beaming smile. "Good morning, Uncle-in-law."
"Good morning, little Xinxin," Lin Kuang said with a laugh, looking at her adorable face.
Barefoot, Xinxin ran to Lin Kuang and threw herself into his arms. "Uncle-in-law, when did you get here?" she asked, her large eyes darting about mischievously, looking incredibly endearing.
"I've been here for a little while, but little Xinxin was still sleeping in," Lin Kuang said with a chuckle, holding her close.
