The wind blows softly, while the clouds emanate an orange glow, from the sunset over the horizon. A younger Jack could be seen training in the huge backyard, that would be of Amushi's house. Leina and her father, Amushi would look on at Jack, as Senra walks past both Leina and Amushi, towards Jack's direction.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Senra asks Amushi, with Amushi laughing in amusement in response
"Of course. He needs to master the art of Sight Seeking!" Amushi responds.
"Don't worry Senra, I'll make sure I beat you!" Jack exclaims with excitement.
"Close your eyes, Jack. You must find a way to predict Senra's movements and attacks without using your vision." Amushi would say with his arms folded.
"What?? No fair! She gets to attack me when I can't see? That's so unfair!" Jack would pout.
"Don't worry! This is how I learned how to use Sight Seeking." Leina would reassure, waving at Jack.
Jack's hair begins to mysteriously stand up and flow in the air.
"What is this im sensing? What's going on with him? Is he cheating or something?" Leina would ask herself as she watched on.
"Begin!" Amushi yells, starting a match between Jack and Senra.
Jack stands his ground, waiting for the slightest movement of Senras whereabouts. Before he knows it, Senra seemingly teleports right beside Jack, traveling faster than his eyes could see.
"Close your eyes, Jack." Senra says, looking away from Jack.
In response, Jack would immediately swing his sword in Senras direction, only for it to clash with Senras slightly unsheathed katana.
"What the- when did you-" Jack says, not being able to comprehend what just happened.
"Simple. She travelled faster than what your eyes could see. As a result, she's appeared right besides you, faster than anything you've ever seen before. A bit unfair if you ask me." Amushi uncovers.
"What??? How??" Jack questions, still shocked from his perception being utterly useless against Senras speed.
"That won't work on me, Senra." Jack says with a new found conviction in his tone.
"What are you talking about now?" senra asks
"You really think it's that easy to catch me offguard? Well you have another thing coming!" Jack responds.
Suddenly, the area in both Jack and Senras proximity would be coated in blue electricity, zapping everything it comes close to, including Senra herself. Senra would yell in pain before dropping to her knees, stabbing her katana into the ground. Jack would take his time to jump away from her, to get some distance.
"I told you to not underestimate me! That's one of the moves Kisuka taught me. He fight with lots of electricity!" Jack yells with pride.
"That hurts…" Senra says as she gets back up, with smoke coming from her body, as she continues…
"That just means I'll be faster than even that…" Senra says.
"Bring it!" Jack responds as he reopens his eyes, revealing them to be a glowing cyan color.
"Is she really about to go all out to be faster than him? Be careful…don't give up Jack." Leina says to herself.
Before Jack knows it, Senra dashes at Jack with incomprehensible speed, Jack looks on as he has no time to defend himself as he's hit with a massive blow to the stomach, winding him, with blood spurting from his mouth, sending him back and crashing into a stone platform in the distance.
"Senra!" Leina yells in shock, seeing what Senra just did to Jack.
"That was too far! He still has a lot to learn!" Leina yells.
"So what? He'll get up and fight again." Senra responds.
"You don't know that!" Leina says as she walks past her younger sister.
As the dust began to settle, Jack could be seen and heard groaning in pain. His head ducked down, blood leaking from his mouth and dripping from his stomach.
"Jack…" Leina calls out, walking closer to him. But to her shock, Jack raises a hand, gesturing to her to stop.
To everyone's surprise, Jack would crack a smile regardless of his injuries, before looking back up in Leinas direction, staring back at Senra.
"Let's do this!" Jack says with a new found excitement, despite what had happened to him just now
"Heh you're tougher than you look! Let's see if you can keep that up!" Senra says, with her and Jack both dashing at each other, clashing weapons in the process.
Jack surprisingly is now able to keep up with her movements, but noticeably his muscles would be bulking up to keep up with her speed. As Senra takes notice of this, she stops fighting back and changes her posture to something more defensive. Jack, noticing this, would attack with pure offensive force, but each and every attack would be dodged effortlessly, all the while Senra would keep an unphased look in her eyes.
"You're forgetting what you were asked to do, Jack. Focus. You want to have faster reactions? Then close your eyes and focus!" Senra says as she continues, before delivering a counter attack, kicking him back, sending him back. Jack would regain his balance before landing on his feet, grunting as he did so.
"Right…I forgot about that." Jack responds.
"Jack relies a lot on scattering his essence to take control of his environment. Since he mainly specializes in controlling his essence to fight, maybe you should use our Moon techniques, sis!" Leina would instruct Senra.
With a look of concern, Senra would turn to look back at Leina, not being sure if she should use deadly force.
"A-Are you sure? That could be dangerous. I could accidentally kill him." Senra would respond.
"He's not going to die, Senra. I know it." Leina says with confidence.
Jack, hearing this, would smirk in response, bringing up his confidence and composure, before he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath and standing in silence.
"Moon Style: Lunar Moon Crescent" Senra calls out. In a swing of her katana, a burning white sickle shaped projectile could be seen hurdling towards Jack horizontally.
As the projectile gets closer, Jack stands calm with his sword in hand. When the projectile gets into touching distance, Jack swiftly swings his sword upwards, with the sword having a noticeable cyan essence coating the blade. In a flash, the projectile is destroyed.
Jack would take notice of this sudden change he feels at this moment. With that, he would go on the offensive, swiftly moving towards Senra with his sword, with his eyes suddenly having energy seeping from them while being closed. As he reaches her, his focus would suddenly be skewed. As this happens, a massive surge of electricity would shock him, stunning him out of the fight altogether, sending him to his hands and knees.
"W-what just happened?" Jack would then question."
"You focused way too much of your essence on your assault towards Senra. You didn't have any control of the technique Kisuka taught you. More importantly, you also focused your essence into your periphery, which took away from the major focus you're supposed to have when you utilize the sight seeking technique. You however, may have at least some…albeit simple, you may have some understanding when it comes to both sight seeking and soul seeking.
Destroying Senra's energy projection could be the start to your sight seeking journey. She gave that to you, Jack. In a real fight, no one will give you chances to start over and train you. They go straight to incapacitation, or they go straight for the kill instead. You Jack, have a lot to learn." Amushi would conclude.
"So this is how Sight Seeking works? I still have a hard time with it. I can only use the essence I surrounded myself with to track attacks without using my eyes." Jack says.
"So you're starting to understand it in your own way. But what you did wasn't sight seeking. That was your own version of sight seeking. You scattered a small portion of your essence across the area to seek things out without putting total focus into your body, or your opponent. Sight seeking is more than that." Amushi says in response to Jack's own criticism.
"You're right…I wasn't using the sight seeking thing at all. Just my own cheap version." Jack responds.
"The next time you try to soul seek again, don't force it out of yourself. Let it come to you. Sight and Soul Seeking are similar but different in their own ways. Remember this: Sight Seeking is the total focus and control of essence in your body to seek out your opponents attacks, and abilities at the epicenter of which they operate, allowing you to predict moves and abilities before they happen.
Sight Seeking is the total focus of essence into your body and periphery, to allow yourself to predict what's already coming at you, allowing you to have time to react to these attacks as they come at you. When you were about to attack just now, you were using more of your essence than needed to use the soul sensing technique, which threw off your focus completely." Amushi informs.
Jack stands stunned as he wonders if he could even do more than what he's currently doing now.
"Gosh there is still so much I have to do to get there." Jack would say.
"Don't worry Jack…we have a lot of time to train so we can get stronger. But you're tired. You should take a break for now. Do you want to eat with me on the rooftop?" Leina insists.
"Sure thing!" Jack responds with a smile.
"Alright! Let's go!" Leina replies with excitement.
Time would pass, with Leina standing, looking back at Donna, the girl she seemingly fears, within Tensen Academy.
"It's been too long…Leina Tensura." Donna says with a smirk.
"Why are you here?? Who sent you? Answer me!" Leina yells, swiftly throwing her palm in Donna's direction.
Donna would close her eyes, keeping that same smirk on her face as she catches Leinas palm before spinning, and throwing her hard onto the lockers of other students, destroying them and indenting the wall behind them. This would all bring a cocky satisfaction to Donna, as she would then chuckle with her hand covering her face.
"Oops! Did I do that?" Donna would ask, belittling Leina's assault.
As Leina recovers, she pulls out the same dagger she had hidden when she had first been seen by Jack.
"Leina…it's one of the rules not to bring weapons into the academy."
Donna would say.
"That doesn't matter anymore. Who's going to stop me?" Leina would ask.
"Are you stupid? The Tensura clan and this village will be the ones to stop you, if you even dare think about killing me." Donna reveals, as she continues to talk, confidently walking in circles around Leina.
"Kyuya warned you. It's your fault for choosing to exist. You wouldn't have to deal with this if you just died." Donna says with a calm hate in her tone.
"Watch your mouth Donna. If I can't kill you because of the village and my clan, neither can you. Your clan, the Akemina clan, will be destroyed by us Tensura, as well as the Tensenians." Leina responds as she hides the dagger once more.
"Yeah you're right. But that's also why I'm going to make sure your life here is a living hell. Trust me Leina, there's nothing you'll be able to do to stop me. And what did you call these people? Tensenians, was it? Is that what you call these weak village people?! What a joke." Donna insults.
"Who the hell are you calling weak?" A voice could be heard saying, revealing it to be Jack, staring at Donna from behind.
His hair has grown down to his shoulders as he's seen to have grown a little taller than before. His outfit is different from his old one. This outfit consists of black pants with blue curving lines, complimented with white lines going through them. As he confidently walks to the scene, his shirt would be revealed to be a black long sleeve with the same blue and white designs that compliment his pants.
"Jack, what are you doing here? Leave! This isn't your fight." Leina would say, in an attempt to keep Jack out of her business.
"You should listen to your girlfriend, little boy." Donna says with a sly smirk.
"Oh yeah? And who the hell are you?" Jack questions with a look more serious than ever.
"That stupid Jack…why didn't he deny that? We aren't even dating! He's way too young to date anyways!" Leina says subconsciously.
"I'm Donna, the daughter of the Akemina clan. And you?" Donna questions.
Leina would begin to think to herself as Donna would ask this.
"Jack, don't tell her who you are! If you do, she's going to make sure you're on good terms with her to get your respect!" Leina thinks to herself.
"He's no one!" Leina intervenes.
"Let your little boyfriend do the talking." Donna says with a smirk.
"I'm the son of Ko-!"
"Shut it! Don't tell her who you are, you idiot!" Leina yells, interrupting Jack's answer to Donna's question.
"Fine…since we can't get any answers, I'll just beat it out of him." Donna insists as she dashes over to Jack, so fast, he can't even perceive her movements until she's behind him.
With that, Donna kicks Jack in the ribs, sending him crashing and slamming into lockers from behind.
"Jack!" Leina would yell, in reaction to this happening right in front of her.
Jack would gasp for air in response to this as he slowly begins to get up.
"What the hell is your problem?! Your fight is with me!" Leina exclaims, with Donna simply ignoring her in the process, shifting her attention to Jack, and condescendingly looking down on him.
"I know I'm not allowed to kill either one of you. I'm trying to be nice here, so you better be on your best behavior if you don't want her to get hurt. Especially with Kyuya." Donna threatens.
"Don't drag him into this! Your fight is with me! No one else!" Leina shouts.
"If you want to hurt her, you'll have to get through me!" Jack yells, not backing down as Donna could be seen with an intrigued look.
"It looks like you don't run away from fights. I like that…but don't cry when I don't go easy on you, boy." Donna says.
Before anything else could happen, a surge of electricity could be seen forming all around Jack's body, protecting him from any danger coming his way.
"It's surprising to see you use your brain! But do you really think shocking me is enough to defeat me?" Donna says, still talking down on Jack, regardless of him showing off his protective barrier of electricity.
"Thunderclap: Wind Racer!" Jack calls out with a moment of conviction.
Before Donna could process it, leaving her in a state of bewilderment. Jack would appear behind Donna, ready to get a free and open hit on her, but not before it is completely interrupted by a staff member who happens to be accompanied by Larro. Larro and the staff member both holding Jack back from striking Donna, from the use of essence controlled telekinesis.
"What are you kids doing in here causing so much trouble?!" The staff member says, with Larro soon responding…
"What's going on here?!" He yells out.
But without any response, Donna would let out a sly chuckle, grinning devilishly as she punched the wind out of Jack, sending him back, rolling and flipping on the floor, before he stopped, gaining control of his fall, albeit on his hands and knees.
"Get away from me! Boys scare me!" Donna says out of nowhere, breaking the demeanor she just had, running away and into the opposite direction.
Before she knows it, Larro with pure speed alone, seemingly teleports in front of Donna with no sign of difficulty. Looking down at the girl with a stern look.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't want to do that! He just scared me! Boys scare me!" Donna cries out.
"Hmm…" Larro lets out.
Leina stands next to Jack, protecting him, with her arm placed out in front of him, looking back at Larro and Donna
"No Leina, I've got this!" Jack insists.
"Jack, stop! Do you want another detention or not? Just let me lie our way out of this." Leina responds, not wanting whatever plan she had to be jeopardized.
Jack would have a moment of reflection before standing down.
"You're right. Sorry." Jack reflects.
"Don't try to attack her. She's out of your league…and I don't want you to get hurt, because she doesn't know when to stop." Leina reveals.
"You know this girl?!" Jack questions.
"It's a long story Jack. Just let me handle this…" Leina insists.
"Fine, have it your way." Jack responds reluctantly.
"We were just playing around! Right, Leina? We weren't actually fighting. We're best friends! We like to play, fight and spar with each other!" Donna says, trying to shield herself from any trouble she might have found herself in.
"Leina, Is this true?" The staff worker would ask.
"It's true…we are best friends. Me and Donna were sparring with each other because it's been a long time since we met up. But Jack thought we were actually fighting, so he wanted to protect me and stop this. This is my fault. It was my idea…I'm sorry." Leina says with hesitation, covering Jack and Donna from trouble.
"But Leina…what about all of the things she said about us and our people?" Jack would question.
In response, Leina would say nothing, but turn in Jack's direction, and put one finger up to her mask, in a shushing gesture, before gesturing her fist down, pointing her thumb in the direction of Donna. She then places her arms in an X formation before taking them away and pointing her middle and index finger down. Jack would say nothing in response to this as she walks towards Larro.
"Well then it looks like you need to serve another detention, Leina. We can't have you causing a disturbance in the academy. That's not what this was for." Larro would say before walking up to Leina, placing his hand onto her shoulder and walking her to detention.
The staff worker just sighs and walks off, leaving both Jack and Donna alone in the hallway. With that, Donna would once again grin before becoming curious of Jack.
"So…what's your name? Are you Leina's boyfriend?" She asks.
"No I'm not Leina's boyfriend! I'm just her friend. My name is Jack Sawlendore. I'm Konori's son. And you?" Asks Jack.
"Donna Akemina! It's good to meet you! I'm sorry about the things I said about the people in the village. I just wanted to make Leina a little mad." Donna would say.
"So you're really friends with her?" Jack questions.
"Not really. I just wanted to get those guys off my back. I didn't want to get in trouble on my first day. That's why Leina also lied about everything. She and I saw each other around. We do know each other though. Me and her actually go way back. But we don't really talk. So it's surprising to see her go to detention for something I started. OH WELL!" Donna happily says.
"How long have you guys known each other?" Jack questions
"Four years…why do you want to know?" Donna questions Jack.
"Well because I-"
"It doesn't matter anymore. Come with me. We're going to the one on one training arena. We can talk there." Donna would say, cutting off Jack in the middle of him speaking.
"A-are you sure?" Jack questions, not being so sure of fighting someone he's just met, and had just threatened someone he's close with.
"Heh, what's wrong? Scared?" Donna would condescendingly ask.
"Scared? Of course not. Why would I be scared by someone like you?" Jack says insultingly.
"Oh just you wait." Donna responds as they begin to walk together to the arena.
"So you said you're the son of Konori Sawlendore. That's pretty cool! Your dad runs the whole entire village…He must really love you too." Donna says, complimenting Jack and his father.
"He does! He takes care of me and my little brother, Kuro! Even when he's not around." Jack responds, finally feeling a weight lifted from his shoulders from the earlier stress he was dealing with.
"So how old are you Jack? You older than Leina? Or are you younger? I know she's got to be twelve years old now…" Donna would curiously ask, going on about Leina in the process.
"I'm ten. I'm about to be eleven in a few months." Jack answers.
"Oh really? I'm fourteen." Donna responds.
"Gosh you're old." Jack would say, not knowing how much of an insult it was to call someone old.
"Old?? If I'm old, then your dad is a fossil. If I'm so old, what is Leina to you?" Donna questions, clearly letting Jack get under her skin for once.
"Younger than you." Jack replies.
"Yeah whatever. All it means is that I have more experience than the both of you idiots." Donna responds.
As they reach the room to the arena, Donna would open the door to see a few coaches and staff nearby to prepare any one on one spar for any student, teacher, staff, or other coaches.
"Hey! We don't have time for another session. You should be getting ready for class. You only have five minutes!" One of the coaches would insist.
"Don't worry, five minutes is all I need." Kyuya would respond from inside of the arena, ready to be the one to take on Jack.
"Kyuya?" Jack would say, confused as to what's going on.
"Kyuya wanted to test your strength. So he wanted me to bring you here for a one on one spar before class starts." Donna would confirm.
"Yeah. It will also prove Larro wrong about how he feels about us." Kyuya says.
"Okay fine I'll do it. But don't make it take long." Jack would say, accepting Kyuya's request to spar him.
"That's the least of your worries, Jack." Kyuya responds.
"I don't know why I'm fighting all of a sudden, but I love the feeling of it. So I guess it's fine. Let's do this." Jack says.
The coaches sigh and face palm as they have no choice but to accept the conditions of this fight, and start it up.
"This fight will last five minutes. The conditions: No breaks, no holding back, no stalling, keep it respectful, and have fun. This match begins in 5…4…3…2…1…BEGIN!" The head coach would say.
With the match starting, Kyuya blasts towards Jack, almost getting an early punch on him, but Jack narrowly avoids it by crossing his arms together and jumping back to get some distance.
"Ouch! You hit hard!" Jack would say as he covers himself from being hit.
"Then maybe you should learn to dodge!" Kyuya says before throwing a punch towards Jack's stomach, but he dodges seemingly instantaneously, leaving Kyuya in the same animation he was in prior to throwing his punch.
"You're wide open! HAA!" Jack yells, kicking Kyuya in the side of the stomach, sending him back, and flipping onto his feet.
"MMMFF! Heh, you play soccer with those legs?" Kyuya asks, mocking the very attack Jack would land on him.
"Do I look like I play soccer?" Jack responds.
"If you did, you'd at least be good at something." Kyuya responds before charging a punch far more powerful than the other, only for Jack to clash fists with him, shaking the entire building.
"Heh" Kyuya suspiciously let's out, before tightening his grip, causing a black liquid to seep into Jacks skin, burning him in the process.
"AHHH!" Jack yells out in pain, grabbing his arm before getting sent hurdling across the arena, from a devastating blow to the face.
When Jack gets back up, Kyuya could see the blood running out of his nose with a smudge of smoking, hot, black, liquid infused with his shattered nose.
Kyuya would take the offensive again, dashing towards Jack's direction, but only for Jack to stare at Kyuya furiously before channeling a large surge of electricity around his body, causing Jacks eyes to glow a bright cyan shade of blue.
This defensive attack catches Kyuya in the process, allowing Jack to land two punches to the stomach, lifting him off of his feet the more he gets punched, before getting kicked on the chin with a final attack being Jack jumping and spin kicking Kyuya across the arena. Kyuya is then seen, being sent hurdling and crashing into the wall of the arena, destroying it in the process.
"That's cheap, Jack. I thought you would've done something less cowardly." Kyuya says as he slowly gets back up from Jacks attack.
As Kyuya talks, Jack would seem to have lost most of his stamina. Kyuya looks into Jacks eyes with an evil smirk on his face, seeing that cyan color fade, as his stamina decreases greatly.
"Gosh…what's going on?" Jack thinks to himself, knowing he should have far more energy than this.
"Was this Kyuya's doing?" He would then ask himself.
"Good…now you'll be more fun to let loose against!" Kyuya says as he dashes at Jack, putting him in a combo, before throwing him around the arena with his punches, until finally ending his flurry of attacks with a punch to the stomach, sending Jack crashing into a wall, incapacitating him in the process.
Kyuya smiles devilishly as he watches the dust settle, to see Jack being beaten bloody, and bruised.
"This fight is over! Jack is too injured to continue! On the contrary, it's been five minutes! The winners are clear!" The head coach would yell, insisting on the conclusion of this bloody battle.
"I love to put down people undeserving of their titles and names. They're all the same and think a title means they're something, when really they're just weak like Jack!" Kyuya would say to everyone in the arena.
But as Kyuya finishes his sentence, Jack could be seen getting up slowly, his sleeves ripped, showing his bloody and vascular arms.
"This…fight…isn't over." Jack would say as he got back onto his feet.
His hair would be a mess, with half of it covering his eyes, while his head remains ducked down. His mouth, nose, and face would be bloody entirely. But regardless, Jack would lift his head, looking as calm as ever with the most serious of looks he's ever given.
"Oh? Are you dumb or do you just want another beating?" Kyuya would ask Jack.
"Something about him has changed. Is that…the power of the Seishin gate being open?" Donna would think to herself, analyzing this entire fight.
"No more holding back. It's about time I let her rip." Jack would say.
Right after Jack would say this, he could be seen ducked down below Kyuya, and before he knew it, Jack would palm strike Kyuya, sending him flying out of the building entirely, flying into the sky. Jack would follow suit, jumping out of the Academy building and landing a hard kick to the stomach of Kyuya, sending him back into the academy building.
"What...is this…power??? This is Konori's son?!" the head coach would ask, as the other coaches and staff could be seen running out of the area
"What the hell…is this kid?" Donna would ask herself.
"I'm done with you Kyuya. You are not safe for anyone. You are an enemy. You want this fight because you want to kill me. And I won't allow that to happen. I have a little brother to protect. If it means protecting my brother and my village…I'll just kill you.
With that being said, Jack would charge electricity throughout his entire body, causing his eyes to glow brighter than before.
"Seishin gate, OPEN!" Jack says, as a massive flow of essence could be seen pouring from Jack's pure presence.
With that, Jack would travel so fast, he would make copies of himself all landing hard hitting attacks so fast, Kyuya couldn't track, trapping him in an endless loop of attacks.
"You may have made me weaker, but your abilities mean nothing in the face of my will!" Jack says as he sends Kyuya's body flying around with all of his punches.
"It's OVER!" Jack would yell, throwing one last punch to Kyuya's face, sending him crashing into the ground, destroying the entire arena in the process.
As the dust settles, it would be Kyuya this time that could be seen being bloody and bruised. But soon after, he would smile and chuckle before getting up with a psychotic laugh.
"You think you're the only one who can be strong? You think you're the only one who can fight like this? The only one that can open the seishin gate? You think you're something for being the Son of a failure like Konori. Well I will show you and this academy what it means to be the embodiment of pure success! And they will witness this before their demise." Kyuya would say as his hair would stand up and flow.
"AAAHHH! I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!" The head coach would express fearfully, running out of the area and into safety.
"Seishin gate OPEN!" Kyuya yells, as a massive flow of black and electric essence could be seen covering his entire body.
"Congratulations Jack…you really pushed me to use this form…but it sucks knowing it will be the last thing you will ever see!" Kyuya would say, full of himself, as he's seen floating in the air, looking down at Jack.
With Jack looking as unphased as ever, he would have little to say, as only little things would be said from him
"Try me." Jack coldly responds.
