Xu Qinghu recounted what had just happened at Xu Qinghe's house. She looked at Zhao Juxiang and asked, "Second sister-in-law, now Big Brother and Big Sister-in-law totally refuse to acknowledge this marriage, what should I do? Didn't you say that once everyone knows about it, for the sake of Nianhua's reputation, Big Brother and Sister-in-law would accept it?"
"You're telling me, that son of the Yue Family, lost two wives, and he even hits people when he's drunk?" Zhao Juxiang's expression was rather hard to describe.
She'd thought that man was just a bit older and had a few flaws, but she never expected that he would be...
"That's all fake. Actually, those two wives of his didn't know their place, and they were physically weak. If it were Nianhua, he'd cherish her and wouldn't have time to hurt her," Xu Qinghu explained.
But anyone remotely smart could tell that her explanation was just an excuse; the real issue was that Xu Qinghu couldn't bear to part with the matchmaker's fee.
