In Eteliria, Invokers embarking on adventures have a common piece of wisdom: when picking a resurrection point, even if it's farther away, it's best to choose one you're more familiar with, if possible.
The reason being, you never know what might be outside the resurrection point. It could be an ambush, or even a situation where you're stuck in an underground, abandoned temple with no way out.
The floating continents of the First World have gone through at least three eras of history, from Xinsas to Numelin, and from Numelin to the present day. Over the span of tens of thousands of years, several major wars have caused changes to the continents, burying countless ancient cities and Temple ruins beneath the earth.
Those past resurrection altars may still be functioning today, but the Holy Sanctuary within them is now just a scene of broken walls and ruins, and even grave dangers lurk inside.
