It was a variety of potted plants: Butterfly Orchids, Anthuriums, Blushing Bromeliads, Fortune Trees, Lucky Bamboos, Birds of Paradise, and Tortoise Shell Bamboo, perfect for placing in the living room, on the balcony, or in the bedrooms. Si Wen's apartment did seem a bit drab. After adding the potted plants, the space felt much more open and alive.
The previous night, when Xue Yang came to deliver clothes to Lin Xi, he hadn't gone inside, but he had managed a quick glance. Si Wen's place wasn't lacking furniture. What it did lack was greenery; he hadn't seen a single plant. So, first thing in the morning, he called a floral company and ordered some to help her decorate. It didn't cost much—it was the thought that counted.
