Adeline's hands trembled slightly as she forced the golden light forward, her energy draining faster than she anticipated.

The voice echoed in her mind, clear as a bell and entirely uninvited. Adeline nearly tripped over her own feet.
'Oh, so now you decide to show up?' Adeline mentally snapped, her eyes widening.
"Less sass, more smite," the Goddess replied smoothly, sounding far too pleased with herself.
Adeline's eyes widened a little. They went back to their 'old' dynamic. But did she truly think everything would go back to normal? Just like that? No.
Adeline's brows furrowed. Confidence. Taking a sharp, deep breath, she stopped treating Annora like she was still human. This was the person who caused so many deaths... Adeline looked at Edward, both of them were responsible, and she would make sure they paid for it.
