Chapter 11 - Bottomless Coffee

That night, Rita used Disguise and headed to the villa district.

She did not return to her own villa. There were too many strange skills in this world. From the moment she set out, she had no intention of bringing any trace back to her base.

Before Disguise expired, she hid in the woods inside the villa district and slept against a tree until two in the morning.

When she woke and saw it was only the 27th, she froze for a moment. It felt like ages had passed, yet it had not even been a week.

She downed a cup of iced coffee, put on a mask, then tucked all her hair into a swim cap. Not a single strand could fall. Finally, she put on gloves, drank an Invisibility Potion, and ran toward the White family estate ten kilometers away.

Might as well squeeze in some training.

She had tried drinking an Invisibility Potion while sitting in a car to see if the vehicle would turn invisible too. It failed. Perhaps the potion's energy was limited and could not cover large objects. She had also tested electric bikes and bicycles. Those failed too.

A skateboard worked, but how was that different from wearing a bell?

She finished the ten-kilometer run, hiding in bushes midway to wait for cooldowns. She was not stingy with potions. She learned Alchemy and brewed potions so she could use them.

When gaming, she used to hoard every good item until she quit. In real life, anything that lowered her risk of exposure was meant to be used.

The White family villa was large enough to be called a manor. Compared to it, her fifty-million villa was just a corner scrap of the district, like a security booth at the gate of a normal community.

Outside the manor stood a massive iron gate several meters high, covered with cameras and sensors. Rita drank a Beginner Fade Potion, letting her body phase for fifteen seconds, and walked straight through.

It took another ten minutes of running before she reached the White family's main building.

Rita was honestly impressed.

With this much money, did they really need to hunt her for so long over one A-tier talent?

She first went to the two small buildings beside the main house to find her [Wheel of Fate]. Drivers and housekeepers lived on the White family property. The owners might need them at any time, so they had to be ready when called. Still, their living conditions were excellent.

She hid in a storage room until the Invisibility Potion cooldown ended. After drinking another bottle, she continued.

Using Fade Potions without regard for cost, Rita soon entered a second-floor bedroom in the side building and found her [Wheel of Fate].

Standing beside the bed, she looked down at the young man and activated [I Want This, This, and This].

The skill activated successfully, but the theft failed.

She wasted no time trying to steal more items or attributes. She pulled a knife from her bag and slit the young man's throat.

His eyes flew open. He stared in terror at two bloodstained white fingers that had appeared out of thin air, but no sound came out.

A Beginner Healing Potion appeared in his hand. Rita flicked it into her own hand with the knife tip.

Soon, the man on the bed went still, eyes wide open.

She searched the corpse and found a four-slot pouch. It was just an ordinary shabby cloth bag. Almost all two-slot and four-slot bags looked like this. Inside were two pitiful potions and a coin pouch containing two silver coins.

Rita used [Death Mimicry] on the corpse.

[Death Mimicry: Designate a target killed by your hand and mimic their Divine Gift. Only one target may be designated at a time. Switching targets will remove the previously mimicked Divine Gift.]

Soon, she felt a new god-given skill settle into her.

[Wheel of Fate] (B-tier)

While waiting for the cooldown, she used the Chávez Mask to edit her character panel and changed her displayed Divine Gift to [Wheel of Fate] (B-tier).

After that, she removed her bloodstained gloves. The blood had made them visible. She cleaned the scent of blood from her hands with alcohol sanitizer, put on a new pair of gloves, drank another Invisibility Potion, and headed to the main building.

Using the same method, she found Sanchez's room. She lay down and crawled under the little princess's bed with such practiced ease it was almost pitiful.

It was only four in the morning. Rich kids were still kids. Rita refused to believe Sanchez would wake before seven. That gave her roughly three hours.

First, she used [Another Happy Day] from [Wheel of Fate] on Sanchez and changed her Luck to 1.

Then she began the cycle.

[I Want This, This, and This]

Eat meat, drink potions, recover HP.

[I Want This, This, and This]

Wheel of Fate was disgusting.

No wonder it had tormented her for so long.

After Sanchez's Luck dropped to 1, Rita stole two items, one coin pouch, and 3 attribute points in just one hour.

[Chávez Set: Glasses (2/3)] (A-tier): When worn, allows Insight into the target's character panel. Specific Divine Gift details cannot be viewed. Each additional Chávez set piece increases available Insight information. Current effect: View target equipment names and quantity.

It was the gold-rimmed glasses Sanchez had often worn in her past life. So they were an Insight item.

In her previous life, Rita had followed the main couple's team a few times, but she had been excluded from the real core. Her position was basically that of the male lead's poor, embarrassing relative. Of course she had not been qualified to know the protagonists' information.

Rita placed it carefully into her bag. This was treasure. The glasses had no obvious marking and looked completely ordinary.

With the glasses added to the mask, the mask's concealment also improved.

[Chávez Set: Mask (2/3)] (A-tier): When used, disguises your character panel information. Place it in your bag to activate. If the mask is dropped, Disguise fails. Current effect: Cannot be successfully revealed by Insight items below S-tier. Note: Each additional Chávez set piece increases concealment level by 1.

She even suspected the final Chávez item was on the male lead's third girlfriend.

Was this really a set?

No. This was practically a heroine identity badge.

[Bottomless Coffee] (C-tier): Contains endless coffee. 500 ml per cup. Drinking restores a total of 500 MP. Refills once every 24 hours.

This was basically an infinite mana potion.

It was probably rated C-tier only because the cooldown was too long.

But its cooldown did not overlap with Mana Potions. In terms of practicality, it was extremely valuable. When her Mana Potion was on cooldown, she could drink coffee to restore mana.

The coin pouch held very little, only 3 gold coins.

Still better than nothing.

As for the three attribute points, all were [Agility].

In her previous life, Sanchez had followed an assassin route because of her ability to merge with water. On rainy days, she was like a god of slaughter, killing one person per step. No one could tell which raindrop she would emerge from. People called her the God of Assassins.

She held a great deal of authority in Rick's team.

Sanchez was not normal either. She had truly believed Rick's claims that Rita had an abnormal love for her brother and wanted to replace her or Zoey with her own talent just to be with him.

She actually believed that crap.

Sanchez was the one who issued Rita's wanted notice. Not only did she demand Rita be captured alive, she also placed separate bounties on each of her limbs. It was almost an open hint. As long as someone cut off Rita's limbs and kept her alive, they could sell her for multiple rewards.

Rita suppressed her hatred and kept stealing until seven.

Only after stealing another 3 Agility and 2 Strength did she stop.

Her Agility had reached 18, and her Strength was now 7.

Altogether, she had stolen 8 attribute points from Sanchez.

That was almost the gain of leveling up twice.
