Chapter 19 - Frenzied Shopping

[Animagus] (A+ Rank)

Transform into any animal you have touched within the past 7 natural days.

Cannot be seen through by skills or items below A Rank.

Transformation ends upon taking any damage.

While transformed, you cannot use any skills other than Divine Gift abilities.

No cooldown.

Each use consumes 50 mana.

A lot of restrictions, but incredibly practical.

And that final condition, "cannot use skills other than Divine Gift abilities," was absolutely beautiful.

This skill felt like it had been made specifically for her.

3,000 gold.

Bought.

[Shadow Control] (A+ Rank)

2,500 gold.

Allows you to freely control your shadow.

The shadow can use all skills possessed by the original body, but all attributes are only 20% of the original.

A perfect assassination skill.

Bought.

[Fountain of Light] (A+ Rank)

Create a spring that lasts for 3 minutes.

The water restores health.

Each milliliter restores 1 HP.

Cooldown: 30 minutes.

Each use consumes 1% mana.

A lifesaving skill.

Not only could it save herself, but with this skill alone, no team would casually abandon her in group combat.

Even the male and female leads would hesitate before turning on her.

3,000 gold.

Bought.

[Ice Flower Seal] (C Rank)

Create a snowflake that flies toward the target.

Upon contact, freezes the target for 3 seconds.

Freeze duration affected by caster Intelligence.

Cast time: 2 seconds.

Cooldown: 30 seconds.

Mana cost: 50.

An ice control spell.

Sure, it was countered by fire magic, but most skills countered one another anyway.

And it only cost 103 gold.

Bought.

[Magic Missile] (C Rank)

Guide magic missiles toward the target.

No cast time.

No cooldown.

Consumes 10 mana per second.

An instant cast attack spell.

97 gold.

Bought.

[Gourmet's Bib] (B Rank)

When equipped during [Feast], all food based buffs are doubled.

An item she could use forever.

700 gold.

Bought.

[Persey's Cat Toy] (F Rank)

No special effects.

But cats go crazy for it and will be attracted to it.

Perfect with her Meow Meow Inn.

And cheap too.

17 gold.

Bought.

[Compass] (E Rank)

Allows you to detect unclaimed treasures within one kilometer and guides you toward them.

One kilometer was a bit short.

Still.

80 gold.

Bought.

[Magician's Fake Tooth] (B Rank)

Contains one cubic meter of storage space.

Occupies one tooth slot.

Can hide anything you do not want others to know about.

Equipment and items stored inside cannot be detected by any skill or item.

However, they also cannot be used while inside.

A must-have for rich people.

Rita believed she owned far too many valuable things.

999 gold.

Acceptable.

[Alchemy Set] (E Rank)

Increases alchemy success rate.

1% chance to raise potion quality by one level.

[Alchemy Notes]

While reading, you may gain insight into alchemy formulas you have not learned.

The formula can be at most one tier above your current Alchemy level.

Only activates once every 30 natural days.

[Engineering Notes]

While reading, you may gain insight into engineering blueprints you have not learned.

The blueprint can be at most one tier above your current Engineering level.

Only activates once every 30 natural days.

The Alchemy Set was cheap.

Only 50 gold.

But the two notebooks together cost 2,000 gold.

Even so, that was not expensive.

Her Alchemy and Engineering were both Advanced rank now.

Reading these notes meant she had a chance to comprehend Master rank recipes and blueprints.

That was basically a portable treasure vault.

Even if it only activated once per month, it was worth it.

She also found:

[Cooking Notes]

Much cheaper.

Only 350 gold.

Bought them all.

Money only had meaning when converted into resources.

Otherwise, it was just paper.

20,000 gold exchanged from the goblin, plus the remaining 3,116 gold from earlier that morning.

23,116 gold total.

After all the purchases, she had only 220 gold left.

After the game invasion, most dungeon skills were only C Rank.

Since she could buy things now, naturally she prioritized things she could never normally obtain.

That was why she only bought two C Rank spells.

One control skill.

One offensive skill.

Enough.

Her focus was on top-tier abilities she had never even encountered in her previous life, along with items with unique utility.

Shopping really made time fly.

After collecting her packages and learning every skill immediately, Rita left the auction house reluctantly.

12:42 p.m.

Only eighteen minutes remained before the beta test ended.

She ran to the herb shop and filled more than thirty inventory slots with herbs before finally leaving.

12:47 p.m.

Rita stood not far from the undead palace, staring at the structure.

Ever since she had stolen the undead city lord's Divine Gift, security around the palace had increased hundreds of times over.

The undead guards practically surrounded the palace hand in hand.

But that was fine.

Still wearing her goblin disguise, Rita walked to the undead city teleportation array.

Using her last five gold coins, she selected teleportation and arrived at one of the elf main cities:

Bloodmoon City.

12:57 p.m.

Standing before the elven city gates, Rita told the captain of the elven guards, who carried a magnificent bow, that there was a problem with the anchor point and she needed to see the city lord.

The guard immediately drew his bow at her.

At that instant, Rita's mind nearly went blank.

The moment the NPC's name turned red, she reacted without hesitation.

She instantly activated:

[The Thief God's Theft, Which Can Also Be Robbery]

[In the name of the Thief God, you attempt to steal the Divine Gift of Bloodmoon City Guard Captain Elfala.]

[Theft successful.]

[You have died.]

The screen went black.

Soon, it lit up again.

Now, only a Ghost Sang Cup form goblin stood in a graveyard.

Two options appeared in the top right corner.

Recover your corpse to revive in a weakened state.

Or wait for automatic resurrection.

Resurrection countdown:

47:57:36

Rita held the phone without moving.

She quietly waited until the time reached 1:06 p.m.

The phone turned into black smoke.

Only two bags remained on the ground.

She looked down at her own hands.

Good.

She had not become a Ghost Sang Cup.

Even though she already knew beta test deaths were not permanent, seeing her game character turn into a ghost still startled her for a moment.

After calming down, the first thing Rita did was alter her status panel and hide the newly acquired Divine Gift.

Then she stuffed the bags into the inner pockets of her clothes and drank an Invisibility Potion.

The skills she had learned surfaced clearly in her mind.

Incantations.

Hand signs.

Methods for channeling and manipulating mana.

All of it felt engraved into her brain.

She could sense a small area centered around herself.

Most of that region was covered by a layer of fog.

But some sections felt extremely clear.

Those clear sections twisted and curved like jogging routes displayed on a running app.

If she wanted, she could instantly teleport to any of those locations with magic.

Clearly, those were places she had personally visited before.
