"What..."
I gaped at the sight of the person who stepped out of the darkness before me.
A young boy with brown hair and otherworldly golden eyes that glowed so brightly, they were unnatural. Despite his childlike appearance, he stood tall and gracefully.
Almost arrogant.
In one hand, he carefully held up a glowing sphere of light that cast its radiance against his childlike face and aloof expression.
The boy was dressed in a dress shirt, a vest, and shorts with a bow tie. He gazed at me standoffishly, despite his height he seemed to look down on me.
It was a weird feeling.
But what was even weirder was his appearance.
No matter how you looked at it, that boy was me. He looked exactly like i did as a child.
"You're finally here," he said flatly. "Took you long enough."
The light from the sphere he held up seeped into the surroundings and the darkness. There was a single golden strand twisting and curving like something ethereal inside of it.
