Morning came quickly.
"I hope we'll meet again someday," the commander said as he stood at the city gates, shaking hands with Yefan.
Yefan's presence had been a blessing for Lian City. He had saved them from devastation.
Wu Yifan also stood nearby, gazing at Yefan with a sense of reluctance. Yefan was simply too powerful. If he could stay and continue teaching them, they would become stronger. But Yefan had his parents to find, and it was impossible to ask him to stay. Besides, with someone as powerful as Yefan, they didn't dare presume to delay him.
"We'll meet again," Yefan said with a faint smile.
"Goodbye," he added as he ascended into the sky, preparing to leave.
But in that very moment, a terrifying black energy beam shot toward him, striking him in mid-air.
"What is that!?" the commander and Wu Yifan exclaimed, their eyes widening in shock.
"Look over there!" shouted one of the soldiers, pointing toward the distance.
The commander and Wu Yifan instinctively turned their gazes toward the indicated area, and what they saw was a towering figure.
A giant, bathed in a faint golden glow, stood in the distance. Its entire body was covered in red fur, and it had three eyes—one enormous black eye on its forehead.
It seemed that the terrifying black energy had been emitted from that black eye.
"That's no ordinary creature," a familiar voice echoed from the sky.
"Yefan?!"
The commander and Wu Yifan looked up in astonishment. Despite being hit by the terrifying energy, Yefan was completely unharmed!
"I'll handle this," Yefan said calmly, flying directly toward the creature.
"Human," the giant roared. Its voice was incredibly powerful, carrying a strange, oppressive energy.
The moment the sound reached Wu Yifan, the commander, and the soldiers in the distance, they were all overwhelmed with intense pain in their heads.

In unison, they spat out blood, the pain unbearable.
"A demigod," Yefan said, his voice calm as he hovered above the creature.
The giant looked up at Yefan, and a surge of black energy began to gather in its third eye.

The terrifying energy beam shot toward Yefan again.
"Heh," Yefan smirked. Without dodging, he raised his sword and swung it through the air.

In an instant, Yefan's sword split the incoming energy beam in two.
"You're not human!" the demigod creature roared in disbelief. The dark energy it had released had been easily cleaved apart by this supposed human.
Such a strange occurrence had never happened before.
"Heh," Yefan sneered. "Humans can achieve this too. Surprised?"
With a thought, the powerful energy within Yefan surged into his sword.

However, with the Yefan Sword in hand, there was no need for concern. Each black beam was easily sliced apart by Yefan's sword, as if he were cutting through fruit.
"He's cutting through energy itself?" Wu Yifan, the commander, and the soldiers watching from afar were completely stunned.
Yefan didn't seem like a human anymore—he was more like a god.
"Damn human…" the demigod growled, its voice filled with rage. Its body began to rapidly heal from the sword wounds it had sustained, the injuries disappearing in seconds.
In that moment, the demigod's gaze shifted toward Lian City. It moved with terrifying speed, heading straight for the city, intent on destroying it.
"Oh no!" the commander shouted, his face turning pale.
The demigod moved too quickly, and as it charged, a massive spiked club appeared in its hand. With its immense size, it could destroy the entire city in mere moments.

Seeing this, Yefan's expression darkened. He swung his sword rapidly, sending waves of blue energy swords toward the demigod's body.

Just as the demigod was about to reach the city gates, a massive fireball shot down from the sky, crashing directly in front of the gates.
