"Damn it!"
It was no surprise that Tony was furious, seeing his tower in such a state. It had just been completed yesterday, and now it was in ruins. How would he explain this to Pepper?
Fortunately, all employees had been evacuated, and no one was hurt inside. However, chaos reigned on the streets: falling shards of glass injured passersby and damaged cars. People began to scatter in panic.
"Oh my God!"
The visitors who had come to admire the newly completed Stark Tower were stunned. Hoping to catch a glimpse of Tony, they suddenly found themselves witnessing a disaster. The tower shuddered, its glass walls shattered, and shards rained down like deadly confetti.
People tried to flee in terror, but the crowded street, moving cars, and the sheer number of pedestrians created a panic. Cars collided with each other, horns blared amidst screams, and shards of glass littered the ground.
"Shit! Noah, we need to save people!" Tony shouted anxiously, seeing the chaos unfold. Activating his repulsors, he flew towards his tower.
The repulsor blast stirred up a cloud of dust, but it didn't affect Noah. He glanced at the portal in the sky, through which energy was still being channeled. The portal was expanding, but no one had emerged from it yet. It turned out the enemy hadn't appeared yet, and the portal was still stabilizing.
The gigantic rift in the sky grew larger with each passing moment, its edges glowing with blue flames. The dark abyss of space was visible beyond the portal. He knew that under vacuum conditions, the portal should have sucked in the surrounding air, but that wasn't happening. The reason was the energy barrier created by the Tesseract—this wasn't part of the enemy's plan.
"Let's evacuate the people first," Noah decided and flew towards the tower.
Meanwhile, Tony had already reached the base of the building. He didn't have time to search for the perpetrators inside—too many people were in danger outside.
A huge shard of glass was about to fall on a mother and child running away. The woman with golden hair, holding her child's hand, suddenly noticed a growing shadow beneath them. Looking up, she saw a massive shard falling towards them.
"No!" she screamed, shielding her child with her body.
Just as they braced for the inevitable impact, it never came. The mother and child, surprised by their sudden salvation, heard a familiar voice, often heard on television.
"Ma'am, get to safety immediately and don't linger," Tony shouted. The massive shard of glass had been vaporized by his orange repulsor beam.
"It's Iron Man! He saved us!" the child shouted joyfully, recognizing the familiar figure in the air.
"Thank you, Iron Man!" the woman cried gratefully, then quickly ran away with her child.
Noah also arrived at the scene shortly after. He drew his long white sword and, with a swing, created a wall of wind that stopped the falling shards of glass, turning them into dust that dissipated in the air.
This impressive feat attracted the attention of many people, who, forgetting their panic, stopped to watch the scene unfold.
"Look, it's Iron Man!"
"And there's the Storm Swordsman! He's so cool!"
Many recognized Tony by his distinctive helmet and the glowing arc reactor in his chest, even despite the unusual appearance of his new armor. And Noah was no less recognizable—his black armor and long sword, as always, drew attention.
Some people were so impressed by the appearance of the two superheroes that they forgot about the danger and started taking pictures with their phones.
"Hey! Don't stay here, it's dangerous! Run to safety!" Tony shouted. He activated his suit's voice amplification system and ascended higher to address everyone.
"Don't panic, don't push, avoid being crushed! Help the elderly, children, and women, head to the nearest subway station. And don't linger here!"
The appearance of the two heroes calmed the crowd, and people began to move towards safety in an orderly manner. Tony and Noah, meanwhile, started providing assistance to those injured by the falling glass shards.
Fortunately, no one died in this incident, although some sustained serious injuries. Noah used the Resolve rune to stabilize the condition of the severely injured, preventing their condition from worsening. However, he didn't heal them completely, limiting himself to treating the most serious injuries.
While they helped evacuate people, the portal in the sky finally changed. An alien soldier with a skeletal-like metallic helmet emerged, riding a flying vehicle.
