Elmer's plan actually hasn't changed much.
The only change is that his collaborator shifted from Michael to Li Yue and Jiang Fan.
The reason Elmer is so eager to develop the Holy Spirit Church, in addition to the two earlier-mentioned reasons, is because of his own ambition. He wants to conquer this world to help him gain a higher status.
If he can truly lead the Holy Spirit Church to conquer this world, then even in the Ancient World, he would have considerable influence.
This is Elmer's true objective.
However, this goal is something he will never share with Li Yue and Jiang Fan. After all, if mishandled, it could cause discord among everyone, causing trust and the alliance that hasn't even been formed to crumble directly.
