Lu Tianxing instinctively touched his nose upon hearing Ji Xingyun's words and said, "Mr. Ji, aren't you afraid that I'll join forces with outsiders to deal with Sima Lingyun?"
"You won't."
Ji Xingyun looked at Lu Tianxing solemnly and said, "You wouldn't do that because you're not that kind of person. A person who would rather break than bend, never bows to anyone. That's one of the reasons I've taken an interest in you. More importantly, you are Ling Yun's friend; once Ling Yun encounters trouble, you would never stand by."
Startled by Ji Xingyun's words, Lu Tianxing smiled wryly; it seemed Ji Xingyun had planned this long ago. Otherwise, why wouldn't Sima Lingyun refuse every time I asked for his help? Besides being friends with Sima Lingyun, it's likely he was instructed by Ji Xingyun as well.
"Mr. Ji, you think too highly of me. Aren't you afraid I'll die halfway, rendering all your efforts in vain?" Lu Tianxing smiled bitterly as he said.
