"Damn it, what's going on? This kid is no weakling like they said! The intel was completely off. Retreat, fast!" someone shouted.
But it was already too late. They had been hit by the Killing Curse. Even if it didn't cause immediate death, failing to break the curse meant they were doomed.
"Tell me who sent you, and I might spare your lives," Yang Qi asked coolly.
"Hmph. Do you know who we are? We are from the Demon Wolf Cave! Even if we die, we will never reveal our employer's identity."
"That's right. Give up," the other assassins added resolutely.
"Heh. If you won't talk, fine. I'll find out sooner or later," Yang Qi sneered. As his voice fell, all twelve men died gruesomely. Their bodies, ravaged by the curse, dissolved into pools of dark red blood that quickly vanished.
"Don't let me find out who's behind this, or you're dead," Yang Qi snorted, turning to leave.
