Both were young girls, and in this sweltering weather, their tempers were quick to flare.
The argument seemed insignificant, but the people in the village were curious, and soon a crowd gathered. According to Lin Qiaoqiao's observations, most people surrounding them were the ones who had just been around the injured dog.
Sure enough, they were just there for the spectacle. Before long, they gathered inside the clinic, watching Lin Qiaoqiao argue with the young nurse, and some even jeered, suggesting they fight it out.
The two argued for a while, but soon it was the young nurse's time to clock out. Though she felt indignant, the sweltering heat made her reluctant to argue further with Lin Qiaoqiao, so she packed up her things and left.
"I say, Qiaoqiao, this little dog looks like it won't make it. Why insist so much?"
"It's a hot day, hurry back home for dinner. It's rare for you to be back for the holidays, go see your parents."
