Ordinary Great Cultivators, no matter how talented, cannot ascend to the Peak Great Cultivator Realm without sufficient resource support.
The Peak Great Cultivator Realm is not like the previous realms; the resources for Great Cultivators are almost entirely controlled by the major powers, and individuals cannot acquire enough Great Cultivator resources without support from these powers.
Given the rarity and preciousness of Great Cultivator resources, it's already fortunate for ordinary Great Cultivators to maintain their realm's resources, let alone advance further without the support of a faction.
