Naruto lie in his bed sore and injured from the night before.
-Flashback-
Just two hours after Naruto met Infinite he was tossed against a tree and shouted out in pain. Looking up his eyes widened and dodged a kick to his head and gained more distance.
Infinite:Do you plan to just run away all in every battle?! Fight!
He shouted and ran at the boy. Naruto growled and dodged a kick to his head and slammed his fist against Infinite's stomach. He grinned in victory but that was quickly wiped off of his face when Naruto was punched across the face and spun around and fell to the ground.
Infinite:What was that?! That was pathetic!
The boy got up and stumbled around before glaring at Infinite.
Naruto:I...I'm only six!
Infinite:And? I'm training you to be able to fight on our with those around you!
Naruto:Then just let me use the Phase Ruby!
Infinite:You forgot the name of it already? Anyway no I won't just give it to you. It's true that you awakened it but I was put in it to guide you on how to use it. But I will never do that unless you show me you're strong enough not to rely on it all the time! Now fight me!
Naruto wanted to hate the Jackal but he knew that he was right and stood up. Thankfully his body was strong enough to keep going and fight. Naruto ran at him again and was kicked back. However he grabbed Infinite's foot and stopped himself from going and further. However since he was so small Infinite just kicked up to get the boy off, but Naruto just flipped off of his leg and slammed his foot on his mask.
Infinite:So you do have some skill. Show me more.
He grabbed the back of Naruto's shirt and thrown away. Naruto landed hard on the ground and instantly got back up in a fighting stance. Under his mask Infinite smiled seeing the fierce determination in his cerulean eyes.
Infinite:This kid is something special.
-Flashback End-
Now the boy lie in bed complaining about his training.
Naruto:I guess this kind of training was difficult for me. Speaking of I need to eat something.
He sat up and pulled out a piecenof paper from his pocket. It had a list of things that Infinite wrote for Naruto to do while he wasn't on the gloating island. First step was to eat something to give him energy to train. And an hour later Naruto was eating a large breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, rice, toast, and finished it off with milk. After he was done with breakfast he made his way to his room which was large enough to do various training exercises.
First he started with push ups and did as many as he could which was 15. Then he did sit ups which he reaching his limit at 30. Next he did squats which he maxed out at 20 with this he did five sets of each which left him exhausted. After regaining his stamina he left the house and started his endurance exercise. He he ran around the village and made several stops since his body hadn't built up his endurance yet.
After his run he went to the forests and found a river that had a strong current. With this he jumped in and started swimming against the current but was easily pushed back and swept along the current. It was to be expected after all he was still weak and couldn't be instantly strong. But even with all of his drawbacks he continued to train himself into the ground. Then he would go home and rest his tired body and repeat the process over again.
At night he would leave and be taken to the floating island where he would train with Infinite in his fighting prowess. Of course he would lose every time but he kept getting back up over and over.
That's when he had begun to show results. After three months when he would do push ups he could go to 50 without stopping, his sit ups reached 90 until he collapsed and his squats were lengthened to 70. He could swim against the current and not be pushed back by much and he could run around the entire village while only needing to slow down for breaks. Infinite took notice of his progress and decided increase his training.
Late at night Naruto was standing outside in the forest waiting to be sent to the floating island. However Naruto found it strange that he hasn't been teleported yet.
Naruto:Why is it taking so long? I would've already been training by now.
He said leaning against a tree. He sighed and looked up at the waxing cresent moon.
Naruto:I can't believe it's been three months since I've been training and I've already gotten so strong. But I haven't gotten as strong as Infinite yet. And we haven't even gotten to the real training yet.
Unknown to him a figure was just above the tree looking down at him. The person her black eyes and shoulder length black hair with a pony tail in the back.
Itachi:Infinite? Has Naruto been receiving training from someone? Maybe I'm overthinking it and he's been training himself.
With that he left silently not letting Naruto know of his presence in the slightest. It wasn't until after Itachi left and was a good distance away that a bright flash of red made enveloped Naruto teleporting him away. He reappeared at the foot of the Alter of the Emeralds and Infinite standing infront of him. He had his arms crossed and looking down at Naruto.
Naruto:Hey what took so long?! You know how long I was waiting?!
Infinite:Yes. You were waiting for two hours.
Naruto:So you do know! Why'd you take so long?!
Infinite:Did you know someone was watching you?
Naruto:Huh? There was?
Infinite:Yes. Just above you and you didn't even notice it.
The sound of warbling could be heard and the area around them turned red. Naruto saw a 3d image of him under a tree and above him was Itachi looking at him.
Naruto:Woah! I didn't know he was there!
Infinite:Exactly. That's why I've been waiting for you to be alone to bring you here.
He said making the images disappear. Infinite turned to Naruto and glared.
Infinite:If I wasn't watching you then you would have been caught.
Naruto:It's not like anyone would care if I was! You saw it they just push me aside for those to jerks!
Infinite:Maybe you're right. But I want you to be more careful from now on okay? Just because you think no one is looking doesn't mean you care completely unnoticeable.
The boy took a deep breath in and exhaled claiming himself down.
Naruto:Yeah I know. So wjatbsre we doing now?
Infinite:Now we're going to learn to mind your surroundings.
Naruto:What's that?
Infinite:It means being aware of what's around you and who could be around you.
Naruto:I'm ready!
Infinite:Good. Now go hide after ten minutes I'm going to coming in after. Don't let me find you.
Naruto:Alright!
He ran off and Infinite turnedntiwsrd the Master Emerald. Above it floated the eight Emeralds and emitted a glowing light.
Infinite:That boy is reckless. I'll have to teach him how to be more sensible.
He said looking at the Phantom Ruby. His eyes trailed down to the Chaos Emeralds and he walked up to the emeralds and saw their radiance.
Infinite:The Chaos Eneralds. A nearly infinite source of power that can be used to turn thoughts into power. It's similar to the Phantom Ruby which can turn my thoughts into reality. I wonder...what would happen if the two powers combined. Could someone transcend the laws of the world? Or maybe it can cross into dimensions like it did with me. I'll think about it later for now let's see just how much I have to teach this kid.
He walked off into the vegetation and started to look for Naruto. It didn't take him long to find him as he was hiding behind a rock. He stood above Naruto and chopped his head.
Infinite:Found you.
Naruto:Ah! How?!
Infinite:Your shifting feet led me right to you.
Naruto:Huh? But I was just getting more comfortable.
Infinite:You can be comfortable or you can be silent. Go hide and try again.
He said and Naruto ran off. That's how their training was spent playing hide and seek with Naruto losing all the time. Though it did teach him that he had to be silent and careful with his actions. And to be more attentive as when he was tracking down Infinite he completely overlooked where he was hiding even with the mask on. After their training ended Naruto sat on the ground while meditating like Infinite told him to.
However Naruto couldn't concentrate as he opened his left eye to see Infinite sitting with his arms crossed. He saw his master sitting next to him with his eyes closed. He gave of the aura of hatred and anger making Naruto uneasy. Naruto tried to meditate but Infinite made his will shake from his killing intent.
Naruto:Uh...are you okay?
Infinite awoke from his trance and glanced at Naruto.
Infinite:Sorry. I was too into my own training.
Naruto:Looks like you were training hard.
Infinite:Yeah.
Naruto:Can you tell me about it?
Infinite:Are you sure you're ready for the horror story of a mercenary?
Naruto:Yeah!
Infinite:Well then, listen up and you might just learn something.
Two weeks have passed since then and Naruto was on the floating island again. But this time he was hiding and taking deep, slow breaths to hide his presence. His hand was pressed against the tree and his eyes were closed. In his mind he saw nothing but dark was all around him but in his dark world he saw ripples of white light to his right coming towards him.
Naruto:Found him. Now all I need to do is avoid him.
He took a step quietly and moved back to avoid Infinite's sight. He slowly moved away from his sight and slowed his breathing. He stopped moving and closed his eyes to try and sense the mercenary once more. But when he did he sensed someone behind him and turned around seeing Infinite there.
Infinite:Good. You're becoming sharper.
Naruto:Its only natural. I learned from the best after all.
Infinite:Well you managed to hide how about you show me how you track.
He said and vanished in a burst of speed. Naruto's gaze sharpened and he looked around and jumped onto a tree and climbed to the top of it and looked around.
Naruto:I have to use all of my senses. Not just my eyes.
He widened his eyes, opened his ears, calmed his heartbeat and took deep breaths.
Naruto:I have to use all of my senses to find him. Sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste. Everything.
He closed his eyes and was in his dark world again. But this time when he tried sensing he used all of his senses at once. Unknowingly awakening a new sense a sixth sense. The void that was his mind opened up and he could see everything around him in a 360° vision. But what was strange was that it didn't look like how he would usually see things. Instead the trees and grass had a green aura, while the air had a silver aura.
When he opened his eyes again the aura was surrounding the area in the objects around him.
Naruto:Huh? I can see strange things around the place.
He looked around and saw the surrounding lights on the island. Then he saw something out of place. He saw a streak of red making a trail out into the forest.
Naruto:There!
He jumped from the tree and followed the trail with a smile. As he ran he couldn't help but feel the area around him in more depth. It was as if his body could feel everything around him just like a highway definition lense. As he approached the trail he saw it getting dimmer and dimmer.
Naruto:Huh? What's happening?
He kept following the trail as he saw it just fall into a thin line.
Naruto:He's suppressing his presence. But whatever this new power is it loos like I can still track him.
He kept following the trail until he came across a clearing. He stopped and looked around seeing the thin line go to a tree.
Naruto:I found you! You're in that tree!
He shouted pointing to the tree where the line was. Infinite smiled under his mask and dropped from the branch he was sitting on.
Infinite:That was good. You've gotten better at tracking and stealth.
Naruto:Yeah. And today I got a new skill!
Infinite:A new skill?
Naruto:Yeah. I concentrated like you said and focused on all of my senses and I was able to see with my eyes closed!
Infinite:....Really now? It sounds like you've awakened your sixth sense.
Naruto:Cool! So does that mean that I'm close to becoming as strong as you?!
Infinite:Not close but you're getting there. The sixth sense allows you to get deeper detail into what's going on around you. Each one of your senses can help you in daily life but only when you truly utilize your senses will you be able to detect the life force of others. I learned this technique from a good friend of mine on another continent. He called it Ki.
Naruto:Ki?
Infinite:It allowed one to sense the life energy within yourself and others. It's different from any other form of energy you use. This is what I used to properly control the Phantom Ruby's power. Now that you've awakened this I'll show you how to manipulate uts energy.
Naruto:Really?! You're finally going to teach me?!
Infinite:Yes. But not today. Come back tomorrow and I'll show you.
Naruto:Okay I'll be ready to learn tomorrow!
Infinite:Good. Get a good rest because it will he difficult.
Naruto:Yes sir.
He was teleported away and Naruto looked around seeing where he was. He was in the forests of Konoha and he was completely alone. Though this just gave a chance to celebrate that he was going to finally learn to use the power of the Phantom Ruby.
Naruto:Yes! Finally! Hahaha! I'm finally going to get strong power. I wonder if I'll be even stronger when I unlock my chakra.
He pondered to himself and ran home. Thoughts of finally showing up his sisters, getting the attention of his parents and the respect of the villagers. He entered his home and it was quiet. With his newly acquired power he felt that his parents were still up and decided to sneak past their room and go into his. But his interests were peaked when he heard them talking about the three of them.
Kushina:Mianto are you sure this is the right choice?
Minato:Yes. It's best for the three of them.
Kushina:But, Naruto has been dreaming of becoming a ninja. You can't deter him any further.
Minato:What do you expect of me Kishuna? This is the only choice we have. He doesn't have any chakra so it will be hard for him to keep up with others. And if he somehow manages to graduate then he'd be killed on his first real mission. Do you want that?
Silence filled the room and the hallway as Naruto was frozen stiff at the news he just heard. He didn't have any chakra?! But how everyone had chakra right? Those were the thoughts running through his mind keeping him from comprehending anything said.what were they going to do with them? What did they have planned for him specifically.
Naruto:They talked about me wanting to be a ninja? Are they going to stop me somehow?
He thought and looked at the door with clenched hands.
Naruto:Why now?! Why when I finally have strength do they wish to put me down now?! They don't even pay attention to me enough to notice that bratty daughters!
Kushina:You know I don't want that. But can't we atleast teach him how to defend himself?
Minato:There's no point Kushina. The life of a shinobi is a harsh one. He can't produce or mold chakra putting him at a huge disadvantage. Even, Guy, who uses Taijutsu can use chakra to strengthen his body. I'm sorry to say but he can't become a ninja.
Kushina:...So this is our only option?
Minato:Yes. I'll reveal it on their birthday to try and ease it to him.
Naruto looked down with rage and sadness building in his eyes. He walked away and went to his room and closed his door. Sitting down he begannto meditate to try and feel his chakra. However there wasn't anything there for him to feel. Besides his Ki there wasn't any chakra.
Naruto:No...It....It can't be true! I....I thought they cared...but they don't. They won't even attempt to train me or spend time with me. But maybe if I ask one more time....I can train with them.
