She didn't need long either. She'd felt the exact moment Hollowcurse cost her the fight, tendrils locked around Vantress's arm, herself locked just as tightly in place beside him, and when his final strike came, she'd still been standing exactly where the curse had left her.
"Hollowcurse," she said quietly, and touched the tile.

The tile crumbled to grey dust, and Lily felt the small, strange absence of the first deck that had ever made her feel like a real threat instead of just a quiet shadow at the edge of a fight, gone now, deliberately, for the sake of something better.
