How do you fit into a world where you're physically different?
That was the new dilemma White had to face as he flew across the city beneath him, diving down toward a skyscraper as a laser beam fired at him.
His wings recoiled back in as he got there, and he slipped into an open window, finding himself in a dark, dusty room, a seemingly abandoned storage area.
He looked up, not seeing any laser light scanning, and exhaled quietly.
This city had an automatic defense protocol that scanned around for traces of Supernaturals and, of course, tried to instantly eliminate them with laser beams.
White, in his new form, didn't exactly fit human, so he had been targeted.
He could easily destroy it, but that would just send an alarm blaring through the entire city.
As he stood there in the storeroom, looking down at the streets where crowds of humans went about their day...
"What now?"
He muttered to himself, and simple as it was, his head was blank.
