He had expected her to say something like he was from a lower realm while the Higher beings were from a Higher realm.
What he'd learned was that the higher the plane in the universe, the purer the energy. White was from Earth, a place in the lower planes, the less ideal place of cultivation in the entire Universe.
The Higher Realm beings have access to the highest purity of energy, therefore making them obviously stronger than he ever was.
The planes themselves were a big factor to strength, the thing he needed to fight beings in the Higher planes.
But time?

"How long have you been cultivating for? Your age now, by my estimate, even in both lifetimes, is not up to half a century yet."
