Slowly, Arlo's hand morphed into a claw, and one elongated finger lifted Jack's head, revealing his bloodied face. Yet his eyes were still open, filled with shock and disbelief, while the mocking smirk he had worn earlier had vanished the moment Arlo grabbed his neck, leaving behind only regret.
He had underestimated his opponent, thinking Arlo was merely some young Eldritch who wasn't worthy of his full attention. But now, his guns were five meters away, his spine had been shattered, and blood covered his face, even blinding his left eye, leaving him completely at Arlo's mercy.
