Chapter 674 - Chapter 676: Transformation

For the next three days, Qingming's life followed a very strict routine.

Every morning, he would leave the village and head for that island.

Once there, he would create shadow clones, each assigned to practice one of the following eight skills: 'Wind Release: Spiraling Shuriken', 'Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique', 'Lightning Release: Lightning Blade', 'Shadow Sword Technique', 'Illusion: Dark Walk Technique', 'Nirvana Palace Technique', 'Earth Release: Earth Flow Great River', and 'Earth Release: Heart Beheading Technique'.

The process varied in duration depending on the amount of chakra invested and the time each technique took to practice, typically lasting from half a day to an entire day.

Every hour, he would recall one of the shadow clones to absorb and digest their training experience and memories, converting them into proficiency with the respective techniques.

Aside from this, his main body also did not idle. He continuously used the 'Heart Reflection Technique' and 'Immortal Mastery Technique' to enhance his Sharingan's progression while simultaneously strengthening his body.

The former required little attention and continued as usual.

The latter, however, he had been making improvements on.

After three days of refining, the efficiency of strengthening his body had increased from the initial 10% to 20%.

However, the further he went, the more difficult the improvement became.

Though he managed a 10% increase in just three days, it might take him ten days or even half a month to achieve a similar improvement in the future.

Fortunately, Qingming was not in a rush. His goal was to increase this efficiency by about 50% in the next strengthening phase.

This would save him one-third of the time.

In addition to these skills, every evening before returning to the village, he would practice the 'Multi Shadow Clone Technique'.

Upon his return, he would continue his training for an additional one to two hours to wrap things up.

In essence, his days were busy and fulfilling.

This, however, caused some discomfort for those who had been keeping an eye on him.

Even though he hadn't yet cleared his name in the assassination of the Elder, he seemed to act as if nothing had happened, going in and out of the village without any respect.

Unfortunately, no matter how much resentment they harbored, it had no effect on Qingming.

Or rather, Qingming didn't even notice them.

At this point, his entire focus was on his body, which was on the verge of transformation.

Indeed, after three days of training, Qingming's body had almost reached its critical point.

He estimated that it would take no more than half a day to fully reach that threshold.

At that point, he could try using the 'Human Command' ability to forcefully break through that invisible barrier and induce a further transformation in his body.

"It's almost there," he mumbled softly to himself while lying in bed, feeling his slightly "inflated" body, and quickly drifted into sleep.

...

The next day.

Morning.

After having breakfast, as usual, Qingming left the village.

Thanks to the extreme flying speed of 'Wind Release: Wings of Wind', reaching 300 meters per second, he arrived at the southern sea area from the central part of the Land of Fire in less than an hour, landing on the island.

As usual, he circled the area a few times, released the 'Guarding Seal' on his forehead, activated his Byakugan, and confirmed that there was no one nearby before landing.

He wasted no time, immediately creating eight shadow clones to begin his training for the day.

With each round of training, his body came closer and closer to its limit.

Finally, by midday, his body reached its limit.

An invisible barrier blocked his progress, and no matter how many times he used the 'Immortal Mastery Technique', he couldn't strengthen his body any further.

When his constitution was below 20 points, he could still use the grinding method to quietly surpass the bottleneck. But now, this method was no longer effective.

A breakthrough was impossible—no matter how hard he tried, he could only remain stuck in place.

Fortunately, he still had the 'Human Command' technique, which could assist in breaking through this invisible barrier.

However, there was no need to rush.

First, Qingming recalled all of his shadow clones, absorbed and digested their training experience and memories, converting them into proficiency in their respective techniques.

Then, he took a few soldier pills from his ninja tool pouch, chewed them up, and swallowed.

While waiting for the soldier pills to take effect, he quickly adjusted his condition.

He needed to adjust himself to peak condition before attempting the breakthrough.

This was the principle behind "sharpening the ax doesn't delay the cutting of firewood."

Soon, half an hour passed.

The sun reached its zenith.

At some point, Qingming, sitting cross-legged, opened his eyes.

Without hesitation, he activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and triggered the eye technique—'Human Command'—residing in his right eye.

Immediately, an invisible force acted on his body, allowing him to gain an extremely high level of control over himself.

He even began to have the illusion of possessing an ability akin to 'internal vision'.

However, this was merely an illusion.

In reality, his perception didn't reach that level, but Qingming felt that this could be a direction for his evolution.

After all, even Byakugan could only see through things and couldn't truly see all aspects of the human body.

If he could achieve something similar to 'internal vision' from cultivation novels, it would make both improving the 'Immortal Mastery Technique' and developing other abilities much easier.

Shaking his head to clear away these miscellaneous thoughts, Qingming raised his hand and formed the seals for 'Immortal Mastery Technique'.

A surge of Yang Release chakra was gathered and injected into his body, starting to strengthen his cells and organs.

With 'Human Command' as a guide, this time, the strengthening finally showed results.

Although the breakthrough didn't happen immediately, Qingming could clearly feel noticeable progress.

Additionally, as his Sharingan's evolution approached the (40000/50000) threshold, the duration of 'Human Command' was also gradually increasing, now approaching fifty seconds.

This was almost enough to completely cover one round of 'Immortal Mastery Technique' strengthening.

This uninterrupted strengthening method, naturally, had better results.

Soon, the first round was complete.

Qingming took a short rest and, after his eyes relaxed a bit, immediately formed the hand seals again to activate 'Immortal Mastery Technique' while triggering 'Human Command'.

And so, again and again.

Before long, ten minutes passed.

On Qingming's sixth attempt with 'Immortal Mastery Technique', the invisible barrier blocking his body's growth quietly disappeared.

Qingming could feel the space for further improvement.

A wave of joy surged within him, and he nearly let out a shout.

But in the end, he kept it to himself.

No particular reason—he was simply too immersed in the pleasant feeling of his body undergoing transformation.
