Being stared at by Arnold and Ruben made Stephen's back hairy.
He took a step back and assumed a fighting stance. "Don't do anything rash. We're still inside the teleportation formation and I don't want to be fined to repair it."
Stephen knew the rules in City A Base very well and naturally didn't plan to challenge it.
He didn't want to be asked to repair the teleportation formation, especially because the one who could do the repair was only Ruben. This meant that he might end up having to pay Ruben.
Just thinking about it made Stephen dissatisfied.
Ruben chuckled and said, "They're really thinking that way."
"Uh…" Stephen paused and he looked at Ruben incredulously. "Are you serious?"
Ruben nodded.
"What did you hear?" Arnold only felt that Stephen's statement was a bit annoying to hear and didn't think too much about it. But Ruben's words made him realize that there might be more to the story.
This interest him and he turned to look at Ruben curiously.
