The change wasn't merely visual. Michael could feel it crawling through him, an icy vastness pouring into every corner of his being, as though his own mind had been stretched to make room for something far larger than himself.
His thoughts moved strangely, sharper in some places and disturbingly foreign in others, like borrowing a room in his own house that had quietly been redecorated by someone else.
Beneath the cold, there was an unmistakable sense of scale, of touching something that dwarfed his ordinary self entirely.
Michael looked down at his hands. They were still flesh. Yet they didn't entirely feel physical anymore.
He could feel the material world. But also something layered beneath it.
Michael slowly raised one hand. His fingers became translucent. Then solid again.
"…Spiritualization."
The ghost's voice reached him from inside his mind.
"Yes."
Michael's heart began pounding. He clenched his fist, and mana erupted.
BOOM!
The ground shook.
