Chapter 821 - 820

The magma sea surged into enormous waves.

The dark power of pure faith turned this region into a paradise of Chaos. Countless lingering souls gathered, and wild daemons were directly birthed from it.

"Faith dark power isn't a problem for me at all."

"As long as you agree to do this, I'll give you this much."

"Stop struggling. We're all out here trying to make it as dark gods. Follow me, and I guarantee you'll live well from now on."

As Eden spoke, he scattered handfuls of pure faith dark power.

Anyone who did not know better might have thought he was recruiting underlings for a criminal gang.

Wave after wave of super faith dark power rockets smashed into Khorne's face, leaving red marks on him.

He was that extravagantly rich.

"No!"

Khorne tried to resist those unimaginably tempting strands of pure faith dark power.

He could not submit beneath the Savior's faith offensive. That would be an unbearable humiliation.

Yet doing so was so difficult.

Facing the bundles upon bundles of "hundred-dollar bills" the Savior threw out, greed and excitement surged up in Khorne beyond his control. He could not even maintain his anger.

That was all shining white faith dark power, and it meant he could use it to launch even more wars.

It was far too tempting.

This was too hard!

"No one can easily refuse a rocket from their number one patron..."

Eden sighed with feeling.

Even this cruel Blood God was still being slapped in the face by his pure faith dark power, wasn't he?

If it had been some shameless dark god, they might have immediately performed their signature trick to thank Eden, their number one patron.

Of course, Eden also knew this would not change the Blood God's hatred toward him, nor would it allow them to cooperate long-term.

But that did not matter.

He only hoped to spend money in exchange for safety and successfully escape from this area.

If he, the Savior and King of Hell, was trapped here and completely collapsed, the Imperium would most likely be unable to resist Chaos's corruption. The Sacred Sun would also have no medium to transfer its excessive faith into, and that would probably turn disastrous too.

"You cannot change the will of war. I am a supreme god. I accept no interference!"

Khorne was still resisting.

He did not want to yield to his own instincts, much less be humiliated by the Savior.

"So-called supreme gods are nothing more than prisoners of the Warp. You've turned into things like this. You're not even as good as the Emperor."

Eden shook his head and thought this silently.

The Chaos Gods claimed to be supreme existences, able to influence countless lives across the galaxy and the Warp with their own wills, but in essence, they had already become part of the rules.

They had lost their freedom and their autonomous will, as if a thought-seal had been branded onto them.

This was also one of the reasons the Emperor resisted apotheosis so fiercely. The Master of Mankind was so proud that even if he died, he would not want to become such a wretched thing.

After apotheosis, a supreme dark god would become a machine or program that craved faith dark power. All thought and behavior would exist to seize faith.

They could not control themselves at all. They did not even have the right to die.

"I have to take this as a warning!"

Eden thought this over and could not help shuddering. He did not want to become that sort of ghostly thing.

Then he thought of the Emperor's situation, and worry grew stronger in his heart.

The Emperor had already reached the end of this road. The old man could no longer control himself. He could only watch helplessly as he gradually fell into the abyss.

What pain and torment was that?

The Hope Sun could faintly hear the Emperor's groans. It could even sense his fear.

That old, scarred Master of Mankind was willing to hold the Golden Throne for humanity and sacrifice everything. But when facing that hateful abyss, he still revealed his weakness.

The Emperor was grieving and fearing the death of his own will.

He was afraid of becoming the Dark King. He was afraid of becoming the killer who destroyed humanity.

Even more terrifying was that he would begin to enjoy humanity's screams and suffering. He would inflict torment upon mankind even more dreadful than that of the Chaos Gods.

If that happened, all the ideals and convictions he had upheld throughout his life would be completely shattered, turning him into the greatest joke in the universe.

How tragic was that?

"The Emperor could fall into the abyss at any moment. It could be in a few days, or it could be in the next second..."

Eden drew in a deep breath as he thought this.

Perhaps only he, the Savior, could stop all of this.

No matter what, he had to save the Emperor. He could not let that ancient being who had given everything for humanity fall into eternal suffering.

Moreover, once that happened, it would not only affect the Emperor. Everything Eden possessed as the Savior would also vanish into ash in an instant.

He might even face an even greater crisis of survival.

Based on the latest situation, once the Dark King descended, there was a high probability that he would immediately hunt down Eden, the Savior, to seize the authority within the Hope Sun.

He was far more terrifying than the Chaos Gods, and much more powerful. There would not even be hope of resistance.

Eden had to break free from his current predicament. Then he had to cooperate with the relevant research institutes and use the Eternal Soul, along with New Dragonwood's technology, to fix the flaws of the Golden Throne.

Only then could he ease the crisis of the Emperor's Sacred Sun and stop it from continuing to expand.

Even under the best-case calculations, the chance of successfully stopping all this was less than sixty percent. And every bit of time wasted would lower the success rate further.

Time was precious. He could not continue delaying!

"Fortunately, I already stopped the Chaos Gods from destroying the Dawnlight City Webway, and I found hope of escaping their pursuit. Things haven't reached the worst point yet."

Eden worked to ease the anxiety in his heart. The more critical the moment, the less he could afford to panic.

Panic would only lead to wrong actions and misjudgments.

He had to stay calm.

First, he had to solve the problem in front of him. He could not let the Blood God keep pursuing and intercepting him.

If possible, it would be best to make Khorne cooperate with him and help intercept the other Chaos Gods.

That would help him break free faster.

Thinking this, Eden suddenly smashed a new wave of pure faith dark power toward Khorne.

It was richer than ever before.

Smack, smack, smack!

The Blood God was slapped in the face again and again by bundled "hundred-dollar bills." He could not help being knocked backward.

At last, he could no longer endure it. With a thunderous crash, he fell backward and shattered a piece of the continent.

"Damn... damn it!"

After being knocked over by pure faith, Khorne grew even more furious in his heart.

He trembled all over as he climbed up, desperately straightening his back when it wanted to bend. Within the magma sea, the faith dark power had almost condensed into physical form, shining white and pure.

It was like bundles of hundred-dollar bills scattered across the ground.

For a supreme dark god of the Warp, this was the most irresistible temptation in the universe. They were beings born for faith.

Awooo!

Khorne could no longer resist the temptation. In front of the Savior, he bent down and began crawling across the ground, seizing that pure faith dark power.

He seemed afraid that some other being might steal this precious faith away.

When Khorne's attention shifted and concentrated on the pure faith dark power, Eden finally found his chance to run. He immediately turned and fled backward.

There was no time to win the cooperation of this god of war and blood anymore.

Once Khorne finished seizing the faith in the magma sea and relieved his poverty-stricken state, his hatred would return. When that happened, he might launch an even more violent attack on Eden.

However, Eden had only run a few steps when the void before his eyes suddenly changed. With a boom, he crashed back into the magma sea, raising waves thousands of kilometers high.

???

"Tzeentch's maze?!"

Eden froze, then realized something extremely troublesome.

The outer perimeter of this Chaos planet had already been filled with layer upon layer of labyrinths. No matter which direction he tried to flee in, he would return here.

The Changer of Ways had unknowingly set up a layered net for him, the Savior, and had done it at the most critical moment.

As expected of the ultimate troublemaker of the galaxy and the Warp. This was simply terrifying.

"This is difficult!"

Eden looked at that disgustingly annoying maze, and an unnamed rage surged in his heart.

That feeling of hope appearing only to be suddenly extinguished was extremely unpleasant.

If this had been any other time, he could still have cracked the maze and safely left, thereby escaping.

But right now, he was running for his life. Time was being counted in milliseconds. Even a single instant of delay could cause a massive setback.

That Changer of Ways, that big blue bird, had long since set up the labyrinth trap, yet he had not activated it at the first opportunity. Instead, he had waited until the instant Eden fled the planet before triggering it.

All so he could enjoy the Savior's stunned expression.

From the void came faint, unrestrained laughter. The big blue bird was satisfied, as if his prank had succeeded.

Eden ignored the laughter and tried to break through again.

The Changer of Ways had arrived. That also meant the other two supreme dark gods could catch up at any time. Once that happened, he would be surrounded on all sides.

As expected, he failed to break through the maze and returned to his original position.

"Tzeentch, you really deserve to die!"

Eden drew in a deep breath.

No wonder the other Chaos Gods and the Emperor alike hated that big blue bird, that ultimate troublemaker, so much.

Then he thought of something and abruptly swept away the mist covering the Chaos planet, exposing the pure faith dark power hidden beneath the magma and concealed by the authority of slaughter.

Khorne was still diligently picking up money.

Moreover, while seizing the faith dark power, he had not forgotten to conceal the aura emitted by those precious riches to prevent the other gods from noticing.

He was that greedy.

Sure enough, when Tzeentch saw that faith dark power, he could no longer suppress his emotions and became somewhat anxious.

Seeing Khorne obtain so much pure faith dark power felt even worse to him than losing money himself.

The blue giant bird formed by the Changer of Ways approached silently, then suddenly reached toward the faith dark power that had almost condensed into physical form.

Gah!

The next instant, Tzeentch was sent flying by one swing of Khorne's axe, scattering blue feathers everywhere.

But he still refused to give up and pounced again.

"You two take your time picking it up!"

Eden ignored the dispute between Khorne and Tzeentch and immediately resumed trying to crack the maze, hoping to leave this place of trouble as quickly as possible.

However, the moment he moved, purple mist swept over him. Within it, he could vaguely see the outline of an incomparably beautiful figure.

Slaanesh!

When Eden saw this, his fists clenched.

In an instant, countless things that would poison the Imperium's moral atmosphere surged into his mind, replaying at millisecond speed to achieve the most perfect sensation.

Not only that, the Prince of Pleasure personally joined the attack.

Eden felt as if he had become the male lead in tens of millions, even hundreds of millions, of overwhelmingly vivid scenes at the same time.

It was a 660,000-fold ultra-real experience.

Under the influence of that being's terrifying authority, even this Chaos planet began to tremble.

The Prince of Pleasure was going all out!

"Damn it..."

Eden went numb.

Under the interference of the authority of pleasure, his consciousness could no longer continue maintaining his efforts to crack Tzeentch's maze.

Without question, the Prince of Pleasure had found his weakness.

That supreme dark power attack was something he would find difficult to break free from in the short term.

Eden immediately took countermeasures.

He struggled with all his might, seized a brief chance to move, condensed his power, and fiercely launched wave after wave of super faith dark power rockets at the Prince of Pleasure.

With his strength as the Savior, other attack methods would be difficult to make effective quickly. He could only use the gods' greedy nature to win himself a chance to run.

However, in the next instant, Eden discovered that the authority of pleasure had intensified even further. An even more terrifying "attack" continued rushing toward him.

?!!!

He was stunned. This was a complete countereffect. Why had it doubled instead?!

Eden quickly reacted and realized he had made a massive mistake.

Although the Prince of Pleasure was greedy, the way that god's authority operated was different. Slaanesh liked investing faith dark power into things that corrupted the moral atmosphere.

In this kind of situation, he absolutely could not add more money. If he did, how was that any different from paying extra to extend the time and unlock something new?

Once Eden realized this, he immediately stopped the money offensive.

Otherwise, he had no idea how many floors he would have to climb today.

Just as he struggled to resist the Prince of Pleasure, even greater trouble appeared.

Another colossal figure crashed down. Filth corroded the magma sea into a hateful shape, with maggots writhing within it.

"Savior!"

Grandfather Nurgle arrived in this region in towering fury, and the drill of Hell authority behind him was still spinning with a buzzing sound.

He was so enraged that he was determined to take revenge on the Savior, the King of Hell.

The authorities of several supreme dark gods intertwined within the Chaos planet, forming an extremely violent reaction. The Warp screamed and wept.

Brass-forged volcanoes erupted. Filthy gardens flowed with venom. Multicolored flames burned coldly. The mist of pleasure grew even stronger.

The terrifying power of their authorities divided the entire planet into four different regions. The sphere continued to collapse, while Eden, the Savior and King of Hell, stood at the center.

They had completely blocked the Savior's escape.

"Looks like I really have to risk everything this time..."

Eden looked at the encroaching Chaos Gods, his expression more solemn than ever before.

He frantically gathered every bit of power he could mobilize, preparing to fight to the death. He had not reached a complete dead end yet. There might still be a chance to break out.

Although the Savior preferred conservative combat, that did not mean he lacked the courage to stake everything.

All in!

Facing the Savior's desperate posture, the Chaos Gods also raised their vigilance.

The Changer of Ways in particular became extremely alert and quietly took one step back.

He realized that he himself might become the Savior's breakthrough point and suffer the greatest damage under Eden's do-or-die breakout assault.

However, before Eden could launch his final attack, continuous tremors spread through the Warp. A hateful power extended from the distance.

The Hope Sun also sensed that the surrounding Warp extraction devices were exploding one after another, as if unable to endure the immense pressure.

In that instant, both Eden and the Chaos Gods changed expression.
