Gojo stared at Ryosuke, his smile frozen—but it wasn't the usual one he wore.
No. This one was different. Sharper.
Then—
"By the way, kid."
Ryosuke blinked.
"Setting all this mess aside…"
Gojo tilted his head slightly, his smile widening just a bit.
"…why are you carrying so many of Sukuna's fingers?"
Thump.
Ryosuke's heart skipped a beat.
His shoulders tensed ever so slightly—barely noticeable, but Gojo caught it.
The boy swallowed, then let out a long sigh.
"Tch…" He rubbed the back of his head, looking away. "I hid them pretty damn well, though…"
He shot a sideways glance at Gojo, a strained smirk tugging at his lips.
"Your eyes are straight-up cheating, y'know that?"
Gojo didn't laugh.
His brows furrowed slightly.
"Answer the question. What are you planning to do with them?"
Ryosuke stayed silent for a moment, his fingers tapping nervously against his thigh.
Then he shrugged, forcing a laid-back grin.
"I don't plan on doing anything bad, if that's what you're worried about."
"Then explain."
Gojo crossed his arms, his smile fading completely.
"Let the adult here be the judge of that."
Ryosuke scratched his head and looked up at him.
"Tell me, Mr. Gojo…"
He paused.
"Don't you think this world's completely unbalanced?"
Gojo raised a brow.
Ryosuke went on, his tone firming up.
"This whole concept of… sorcerers and non-sorcerers."
He clenched his fist slightly.
"Geto wasn't entirely wrong, you know."
A faint smile crossed his face.
"But instead of killing all the non-sorcerers…"
He raised a hand, palm facing the sky, as if holding something invisible.
"…I'm gonna make everyone a sorcerer."
Gojo's eyes widened imperceptibly behind his glasses.
Ryosuke's smile grew.
"That way, no more curses. Welcome to a new era of humanity."
He lifted another finger.
"And I'm gonna break that stupid barrier around Japan and unleash cursed energy to the whole world."
Gojo exhaled sharply through his nose, shaking his head.
"You've really lost it, kid."
He frowned.
"But I still don't get it… what do the fingers have to do with all this?"
Ryosuke grinned—a genuine one this time.
"Simple."
He folded his arms.
"I'm gonna run this new world. And I need lieutenants."
Silence.
Then—
"Hahahaha! Wait, wait…"
Gojo wiped an imaginary tear.
"So let me get this straight… you want to make Sukuna your underling?"
He shook his head, amused.
"You're even more interesting than I thought, kid."
But his smile vanished instantly.
His glasses slipped slightly down his nose, revealing a cold, icy blue glow.
"But… your speech is just as insane as the guy whose face you're wearing."
He tilted his head.
"Why bother with such ridiculous ideologies? Why not just… live? Make the world better bit by bit?"
Ryosuke met his gaze without flinching.
"That's exactly my goal. Unlike Geto, I'm not committing genocide. I'm just giving humanity equal power… and wiping out curses. Humanity will remain its own curse. But at least, it'll have the means to fight back."
Gojo stared at him for a long moment.
"How do you plan to do that?"
Ryosuke smiled.
Slowly, he raised both hands, palms open.
"I have the power to."
Bzzzzt…
A faint vibration emanated from his palms—barely noticeable, but there.
"I can give humanity the power of jujutsu."
Gojo frowned.
His eyes—his Six Eyes—narrowed slightly.
Ryosuke tilted his head, smirking.
"So, Mr. Gojo… can your eyes see it?"
Gojo stood still.
Then, slowly—
A smile crept back onto his lips.
"So in the end…"
His voice was low, almost a whisper.
"…you're going to be a problem."
He adjusted his glasses.
"Give it up, kid."
Ryosuke didn't move.
"And if I say no?"
The wind suddenly picked up, swirling snow all around them.
Gojo sighed, shaking his head.
"Then…"
WHOOSH—
He vanished.
CRACK!
The ground beneath Ryosuke exploded—but Gojo was gone.
He blinked—
And Gojo was right in front of him.
'How—?!'
"—I'll just have to kick the crap out of Yuki's nephew."
WHAM!
A hand clamped around his throat.
Ghk—!
Ryosuke was lifted off the ground, feet kicking helplessly.
His hands clawed at Gojo's wrist, desperate to loosen the grip—but it was like trying to bend steel.
"Ghhh…!"
Ayanami reacted instantly.
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Five clones materialized around Gojo, fists and kicks flying at once—
But Gojo disappeared again.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
All five clones burst into smoke and blood.
SPLAT—
Ayanami was hurled backward, a gaping hole tearing through her abdomen.
"Ghh…!"
She crashed into the snow, motionless.
FWOOSH—
Gojo reappeared on the far side of the street, Ryosuke still dangling in his grip.
The boy gasped for air, eyes watering, hands still clawing weakly at Gojo's wrist.
"For someone so ambitious… you're weak."
Ryosuke's heart pounded wildly.
Then—
He smiled.
A faint, lopsided grin.
Gojo frowned.
His eyes widened slightly.
He immediately released Ryosuke, leaping back.
Ryosuke landed on his feet, coughing violently.
"Ghh… Khh…"
He rubbed his throat, then slowly lifted his head.
The smile was still there.
Gojo stood still, watching.
"If we fight… I won't have a choice but to seriously hurt you. Maybe even kill you."
He crossed his arms.
"Hand over the fingers. I'll make sure your potential isn't wasted."
Ryosuke laughed—a rough, raspy sound.
"It's sad…"
He looked up at Gojo.
"…how enslaved you are by such a pathetic system."
FWOOSH—
He lunged forward.
His fist sliced through the air, aiming straight for Gojo's face—
"Pointless."
Gojo didn't even move.
But—
The punch stopped.
Against something.
Gojo's eyes widened.
Ryosuke's fist had connected.
Not with Infinity.
Gojo was blocking it with his palm.
He'd been hit.
Ryosuke smirked.
"So, Mr. Gojo…"
He tilted his head.
"…do you still think I'm weak?"
