"Kraven…" Her voice came out thin and strained. "Do not ask me that. Please. That is not something you should ever speak of. It is not the same. It cannot be compared."
She tried to pull back slightly, but his hands only adjusted and he held her strongly than before.
"I need to know," Julian said. He did not raise his voice. He simply stayed close, his breath warm against her skin. "You once fed me from your body when I was small and helpless. Now I am a man, and you are allowing my mouth on you again. I want to understand what feels different to you."
Olivia's breathing turned shallow and uneven. She kept her face turned to the side, her eyes fixed on nothing.
The silence stretched.
Her lips parted once, then closed. When she finally spoke again, the words were barely more than a whisper and still carried a clear note of protest.
"I do not want to answer that. It is too much. You are asking me to look at something I have tried never to examine."
