Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 - The Start of the Rumor, oh no, the start of the legend

Age of the Gods, Greece. Acadia Mountains. Afternoon,

The blond and blue-eyed Jason hid in the bushes, looking around carefully, and making sure that no one saw him, then he breathed a sigh of relief and walked out with Nuoyan behind him.

"I say, do we really need to do this? It feels like we are stealing."

"You think I want to, but you don't even think about who this is because of!" Jason glared at Theo beside him and said, "If Chiron or Theseus find out that I'm planning to take you down the mountain, neither you nor I will be safe!"

"No, it's mainly you." Theo said nonchalantly, "Anyway, everyone knows that I want to go down the mountain. Even if they catch me, they can't do anything to me. In the end, they can only give me a verbal scolding and then let me go. So, in the end, you will be the only one who will suffer!"

Jason's lips twitched, and looking at the confident promise before him, he couldn't help but clench his fists, but he found that he had no way to refute it!

That's right, Jason finally decided to go down the mountain with his promise.

Under the oath made to the gods.

He vowed to help Jason regain the throne that belonged to him and rescue Jason's parents.

Even though Jason knew that it would be a big trouble to keep his promise and go down the mountain, he obviously couldn't resist the temptation.

"I say, do you really have a way to help me regain the throne?"

At this moment, at the foot of the Arcadia Mountains, Jason couldn't help but asked Theo again.

"I have made an oath to the gods, so I will definitely do it... Do you not believe me, or do you not believe the gods?"

In response to Theo's question, Jason did not answer, but his blue eyes carefully looked at Theo in front of him.

Soft black hair and clear emerald green eyes like gems.

At the age of sixteen, Theo's face had gradually lost its youthful immaturity and had taken on a hint of heroism but there is still some childishness left.

At the same time, due to the careful carving of the Centaur Sage Chiron so far, the temperament of a poet and painter that naturally emanates from his manners and conversations makes him even more dazzling.

"What do you say, the weakest hero among us? ...But then again, Theo, why don't you just give up that unrealistic fantasy of becoming a hero."

"Anyway, with your looks and painting skills, I think it won't be a problem to tie up a noble lady, and you won't have to worry about food and clothing for the rest of your life!"

"Oh, rich woman, that will only affect my archery speed!" Theo said disdainfully: "Unless the goddess is almost the same!"

He came to this era to become stronger and find a way to survival. It was not to play with women.

Besides, he was a little afraid to stage a Shura field in Chaldea. I don't know if he will get a hatchet.

And he also hated being irresponsible. Since he was destined to die, he wouldn't make promise to any women so as not to make her sad.

His idea was simple. Become stronger, leave great deeds and die with a bang.

"Let's not talk about this anymore. Let's go now, Jason. Otherwise, if you accidentally run into someone you know or Teacher Chiron, you're really done for."

After saying that, Theo took the lead and walked down the mountain excitedly.

Looking at Theo's excited look...it was as if he had been imprisoned for three years and was finally released today. Jason couldn't help but hesitate to speak.

"Why do I feel like I made a really stupid decision?"

Jason hesitated for a moment.

But now that things have come to this, he can only follow, and at the same time he couldn't help but say to Theo in a bad mood: "What about the goddess? You are so beautiful. Even if such a beautiful thing really happened, it would definitely fall on my head, not you!"

"You?" Theo heard this and looked at Jason. "I don't think she's a goddess, but if she's a rich woman... the princess is also a rich woman, right?"

As he said this, under Jason's somewhat puzzled gaze, he showed a malicious smile and continued, "But that may not be a good thing."

After saying this, he smiled and promised, without waiting for Jason's detailed questions, he quickly left his side.

Join Jason on his journey to his homeland, the Kingdom of Iolcus!

Time flies by.

Three days later, Evening.

In an ancient forest.

"Listen carefully, my name is Theo, and I am a student of the Centaur Sage Chiron!"

In the afterglow of the sunset, Theo stood in front of a group of subdued thieves.

Ancient Greece during the Age of Gods was a barbaric and dangerous era, with dense jungles and swamps everywhere, filled with ferocious monsters, wild beasts, and thieves.

And it is obvious that these thieves hit a wall this time!

Even though one of these two is the weakest and second to last among Chiron's disciples, there is naturally no problem if they are just dealing with ordinary people.

So when they appeared, Jason drew out his sharp sword, and Theo took out a wooden bow... yes, Theo was an archer.

However, this is not because Theo has a talent for archery. This is his own choice. He hopes that when he ascends to the Throne of Heroes after his death, his class will be Archer.

Just because of one sentence - Archers have always been awesome!

Hercules, one of the strongest archers in ancient Greece, was still studying in the mountains at that time. Theo planned to learn a thing or two from Chiron, so he chose this path.

Then he discovered that this road was actually a big pit!

At the same time, I finally understood why there have been so many archers since ancient times, and most of them are stronger than each other in close combat.

It's very simple. This is ancient times, the age of gods. The hard bows are truly extremely lethal, and each one is heavier than the other. If you don't have good physical fitness, you can't even pull the bow!

What about archers having low health and high damage? It's all fake!

So, this scene happened.

Jason tied up the bruised thieves with vines, and Theo stood in front of them with a wooden bow in his hand and said, "Now, I need you to swear to the great Olympian gods. As long as you are willing to swear, we will let you go."

Hearing this, the thieves looked at each other, and finally the leader with a big beard said, "Okay, we swear that we will never do such a lowly thing again in our lives, and from now on we will go home and behave ourselves..."

The thieves leader was interrupted by Theo's dissatisfaction before he could finish his words.

"Who asked you to swear this? But it's good that you are ready to retire, so add this condition."

Theo nodded his head with a bit of thought, and then said, "Listen, from today on, I require you to say the following to the first 100 people you meet - You used to be a group of lowly thieves, but now you are willing to turn over a new leaf and become good people again. The person who defeats you and corrects the mistakes of your life is called Theo. He is a student of Chiron, the Centaur Sage, and he will become a great hero famous in Greece in the future!"

After hearing this, the thieves were all dumbfounded.

But looking at the shining sword in Jason's hand, they could only bow their heads and make this oath.

"Very good." Theo nodded with satisfaction, put away the bow and arrow, and cut the thin ropes on their bodies with a knife. At the same time, he threatened: "Remember your oath. If you break it, I think the gods above will definitely punish you accordingly!"

When he released them, he also confiscated all the money and belongings from the thieves.

And when he left, he kidnapped their two best horses.

In this regard, the thieves could only watch with their eyes wide open, angry but not daring to say anything!

Who is the robber? And why do you look so skilled?

After Theo and Jason rode away, a skinny thief couldn't help but ask the bearded thief leader: "Chief, what should we do now?"

"What should we do?" The bearded leader opened his eyes wide, picked up his sword with his beard trembling wildly, and said angrily: "What else can we do now? Of course... go home and farm!"

After all, they had sworn an oath to the gods.

And just to be on the safe side, the god they just promised to swear was not just one, but the twelve main gods of Olympus!

Therefore, even if they were given ten more courages, they would not dare to break their oath.

After leaving, Jason, who rode to Theo's side, could not help but ask, "Theo, what were you doing just now?"

"What are you doing? I need some money." Theo felt a little confused by the question, so he raised the wool he had taken from the thief and replied, "Who knows how far this place is from your home? I don't want to camp in the wilderness all the time."

"I'm not asking you that. I'm talking about the oaths of those thieves..."

"Oh, you mean that." Theo suddenly realized and said to Jason: "Jason, let me ask you, what is my purpose of going down the mountain?"

"Seeking death?"

Theo was speechless but he understood Jason a bit. He said: "Before I die, I have to become a hero first, right?"

Jason nodded and motioned for him to continue speaking.

"What I just did was to pave the way for becoming a hero!"

"Think about it, the steps to becoming a hero usually involve completing a great deed, then being praised by bards, and then spreading the word around the world to gain corresponding honors, right?"

The most important thing is to be able to ascend to the Throne of Heroes!

"Then let me ask you, what is the most important step in this?"

Jason answered without thinking: "It must be to accomplish great feats that others cannot easily accomplish..."

"No, it's actually to be praised by the bards and be remembered forever by the world!" Theo interrupted Jason before he finished speaking and corrected him, "Just think about it, if you have accomplished great deeds, but others don't know about it and there are no bards singing praises for your achievements, then do you think you will get the corresponding heroic honor?"

Jason was stunned for a moment, then thought about it carefully and found that there seemed to be some truth to it.

"That's why," Theo said proudly, "I asked them to make such an oath, so that they can publicize my great achievements and let the world know my name."

"But you just dealt with a small thief... and I helped you, can this be called a great achievement?" Jason couldn't help but say again.

"I don't know if it can be considered a great achievement, I just know that rumors will spread quickly." Theo shrugged and said indifferently: "Anyway, the oath is there, they must find at least a hundred people to publicize this matter and for the sake of face, they will definitely exaggerate what just happened and glorify me in various ways. After all, if I am too mediocre, it will make them look too bad. "

Jason thought silently for a while, then looked at Theo, his eyes gradually widening.

He is not stupid. To be precise, Jason is actually very smart. After all, in the future he will be able to compete with wise heroes like Odysseus.

So Jason soon understood the meaning of Theo.

The next moment he urged his horse back.

"Hey, Jason, where are you going?"

Seeing this, Theo naturally shouted loudly from behind.

"I'll go find them. We defeated them together, so I should have been included in the oath!" Jason replied anxiously.

And in fact, everything is just as they thought.

That evening, the thieves who were coming down the mountain met the first passerby.

Immediately, the thieves surrounded the man!

Just when the passerby was looking at these vicious thieves, frightened half to death and thought that he would definitely die today, he heard...

"We used to be a bunch of lowly thieves, but now we just want to be good people! The hero who defeated us and corrected our mistakes in life is called Theo! "

So the rumor spread from one person to ten, and from ten to a hundred, and so the legend began.
