The two of them randomly found someone to ask for directions, and quickly learned from that kind-hearted person that the most luxurious hotel in Thunder City was the grand establishment called the "Embrace of Dawn."
They spent money to hire a carriage straight to the hotel entrance, and soon were standing in the middle of the glittering, gold-and-jade hotel lobby.
Vivian nodded, more or less satisfied.
Not bad.
This hotel actually had some taste. If they'd just swap that marble out for obsidian or granite, it would have a bit of that Demon City vibe.
The lobby manager was a shrewd middle-aged man.
When he saw these two lavishly dressed yet still rather baby-faced teenagers, he assumed they were kids here looking for their parents.
But when he stepped forward to ask, he was stunned to find out they were actually here to check in.
"Two of your best suites, for a few days," Vivian lifted her chin, her composed posture making it look like this place was her personal domain.
