Some blonde woman I've never seen in my life steps forward, her face emerging from the shadow of her hood. She has Daelan's violet eyes.
"I am," she says.
I stare at her. Blonde hair. Violet eyes. Sharp features that would be pretty if they weren't currently looking at me like I'm an obstacle to be removed.
"Ah, sorry. Never heard of you." I wave her off, already turning away. "I'm in a good mood, so don't piss me off."
I take a step toward the estate gates. I have a wedding to plan. A dress to fit. A fiancé to find. I don't have time for whatever this is—
"Well, I say so."
A second voice. Male. Familiar in a way that makes my stomach drop.
I turn around.
The other hooded figure has dropped his hood.
And I'm looking at a Daelan copycat.
