"Should we do something now?" Star asked Mortality as they watched through the glowing spatial window, where live images of the battle were being shown.
Star had her arms folded under her armoured breasts, and her eyes were intensely focused on the battle in front of her. She ignored the clamour of war and the sound of a three-hundred-year-old conflict occurring around her.
Beside her, standing to his left with his two hands in his pockets and wearing a very nice-looking suit, was the black-haired Mortality.
In response to Star's question, Mortality shook his head. His face showed that he was a little confused, actually.
He stared at the window, his eyes darting super fast to keep track of the golden string of light that kept appearing just as it disappeared.
"Why?" Star asked, "This is the best time to do something," She said.
Indeed, that was what it looked like. Change had been fighting the Highest Will, and although that was a losing battle, he had still made an effort.
